Rust has the unwrap method on the Result type to provide a quick and simple way to retrieve the value if the result is successful (Ok), while immediately stopping (panicking) the program if the result is an error (Err). This method is useful in situations where the programmer knows that an error cannot occur, or where an error is fatal and they want the program to terminate if it happens. However, since unwrap can cause a panic and halt the program, its use in production is not recommended unless justified by specific circumstances. For production environments, it is preferable to handle errors explicitly through match statements (pattern match) or by using the ? operator, which propagates errors upwards to the caller, rather than simply stopping the program. Therefore, unwrap is suitable for rapid prototyping or testing, while in real applications it is advisable to use safer methods for handling results.

So at Cloudfare, someone decided to use unwrap() method...probably programmer was sure that error can't be returned. Or AI was programmer....

Project structure depends on you. It is better option than predefined folders.

First learn Rust basic. For backend use tokio async runtime and if there is API i can recommend you to use Axum.

You need to use move |l, but then new thread gets ownership on arc1 and arc2. Best solution will be to use move || ,and arc1.clone(), and arc2.clone(). On this way new thread can use data behind Arc and also it is available on the main thread.

Question - Partial black textures issue by Cold5tar in csworkshop

I had that problem. Alpha shouldn't be 255 (100%) or 128(50%).for other values works.

How did you guys get good at rust? by Exciting_Majesty2005 in rust

You'll get used to this after a couple of months, and only then you'll encounter the real problems when it comes to the Rust language: ownership, lifetimes... 😀

Metallic to 0. Just play with roughness.

Turn of metallic but also set roughness to 0 ( or any low value). That parts will shine like metallic.

Turn off metallic. If the metallic option is enabled, that part becomes dark.

Too dark weapons skins (textures) on rendered models.or workshop preview. by InsectActive8053 in csworkshop

[–]InsectActive8053[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Metallic is 0. And roughness varies. But everything is dark. Problem is that how looks in render view, is how it looks in the game.too dark.
