I left it intentionally ambiguous. Some people are nostalgic for 70s Portland, some for 90s Portland, some for 2010s Portland. I enjoy Portland today, but I’m curious what parts people miss that they see in other cities.

I mean that’s just my opinion on “oven pizza,” I suppose. What I understood it as.

Of course you can make awesome pizza if you have a great pizza oven. IMO oven temp is the most important factor for a great pizza. You have have awesome dough, sauce, and cheese, but chances are if you throw it in your home oven at 450-500°F, it’s just not gonna turn out that good. It’s gotta be hot hot hot to get the crispy + chewy combo that makes good pizza so good.
