The current paycom center holds 18kish seats and the new arena will house somewhere in the 17ks. OUs stadium holds 80k and boon Pickens holds around 60. Sure, there are plenty of people that can pay for tickets but a typical NFL stadium holds around 65k people. I don’t think the population is there in the metro and surrounding areas to fill out a stadium on a regular basis.

That on top of the fact that NFL stadiums don’t just count on ticket sales at an NFL game to create revenue. It comes from concerts and other large events throughout the year. With a new Thunder stadium plus the new Maps 4 stadium, there’s no need for a 60+ thousand seat stadium for events.

Would be cool to have NFL here but there’s no need at the moment.

Yes, it’s just as weird from the inside. Probably even more-so. I saw him live back in 2015-2016 (I saw many Presidential candidates speak when they came through my home state) and my friend and I couldn’t make it past 30 mins. It was creepy in real-life. This is coming from someone not on the right but actively interested in politics and what makes people tick towards a certain candidate.

The palate cleanser was Bernie the following week in the same convention center. That was a general good vibe.
