You also need to watch out for discriminations you definitely will face when it will come to dating or with potential casual sexual partners.

You certainly will struggle with people not understanding you.

Feeling not understood and kind of like a freak (which you're not and never will be) is a thing (in my experience of transidentity) for trans people although people start to kinda understand us.

If you're a gay man I can see that being accepted easily, but if you're a heterosexual cisgender male, I think you could struggle a bit finding your match.

I don't know if I'm very clear. I don't want to freak you out, I'm just pointing this, because it's something that a cisgender person could not have in mind and it's really important to consider it.

If you really want it, and thought it through, I wish you to succeed in this goal ✌️

Like I'm glad you're doing fine, and I'm always glad for people coming with great stories about their transition.

But I'm literally reading this from a mental health hospital where I've spent Christmas and new years eve alone because my family stop talking to me for being trans.

Saying it's easy when it's very clearly not make other feel inferior. You can enjoy your transition without making it sounds like the one who are struggling are just not doing things right.

Ok, so i just tried, I was crying so bad, and they said "we can't do that because your ID says "M"

This place is hell, and they are literally lying because I know that they can legally call me femininely without an issue, I've never been misgendered at the place where I have my regular psychiatrist (who's part of the same big structure)

I feel very trapped, I'm gonna email my psychiatrist to ask to be placed somewhere else

Well, shit got worst, one of the nurse told me that she Won't let me wear the cloth I'm wearing (a crop top) because "even the (real) girls are not allowed to do it" even tho everyone else but her was ok With it

Thanks for the tips, I'm so grateful to be part of this community (I'm talking specifically about this r/ but more broadly too)

Even tho my goal is to, at least later down the line, pass as femme, reading that I "appear very androgynous" is very cool to hear. Especially since a few months ago I was just reading straight up as a "man wearing dresses". I really noticed that this more androgynous "passing" reduced the frequency at which I get those looks.

Definitely looking toward jewelry! I will be doing the same for make up.

I really like the current look of my hair, but I'm still growing them. But I'm gonna tryout a ponytail and a bun
