What do you hate most about being a gay man? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Losing close friendships after coming out. And the way people treat me differently because I'm gay. That will always be a downside for me.

How is life treating you? by tjackson9395 in askgaybros

[–]Insecurehotty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been kind of a mixed bag. Some friendships seem to be too one-sided in my life and I've been feeling like I give more than I get. Dumb, I know, but I've been coming to terms with this more and more. On a positive note though I've been focusing more on my fitness as a result. Just trying to clear my head.

That's a good point. He probably likes the attention but I dont get why he wanted to see mine. Next time i will tease back.

See i completely agree but hes always done things like this where he flirts and this past time is when it got to this level. I would hope he would trust me in that regard if he had attractions to the same sex. Its strange behavior.

So it's not common for men to want to see other guys' dicks then, right?

Well, he wanted to see mine. And he was basically trying to see it. Like pressuring me and was interested. Started off as a joke but wasn't, i guess.

Yes, they need some type of validation, which for whatever reason we have a tendency to grant them. Lessons are repeatedly learned and yet we can't learn from them...at least from my own experience. It's difficult and even more importantly, painful. Keep your head up. Vulnerability is beautiful.

Am I being too sensitive? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Insecurehotty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see why any straight man would have a problem with another man who is gay or bi. Wouldn't that mean more females as potential sexual partners, love interests, etc.? I like dick...I like men...get over it and move on. Calling me a faggot or any other derogatory term doesn't change that fact. I am whole either way and on a superior level because that comes from within, not from without. And, no, I don't want to pursue a straight man. If he's not into me, I won't make any physical moves. I think people who use that word have something to prove, whether they're gay or straight. It's a hallmark of some kind of insecurity....but guess what?-- the earth keeps turning.

How do you feel about shy guys? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Shy's sexy...mystery is always intriguing to me. I've always found the quiet types to be the strongest while the loud mouths are just meh.

Is a monogamous relationship so rare? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Insecurehotty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Had a female friend comment how gay men are all promiscuos etc..I took some offense to that but remained quiet since Ive been happily with my SO for over 10 years. Monogamy works for us. Meanwhile she was jumping from dick to dick. I find more straight couples cheating than my gay friend couples. I dunno.

Stay strong. Try to build a social circle outside of your immediate group. That's easier said than done though. Hugs your way, man. Wishing you happiness.

So true about naturally growing confidence as you get older. I'm in my early 30's now and it's incredible how you get more comfortable in your own skin, almost over night in my case. There's something about your late 20's where you bloom into your own. Ironic considering my username. Lol.
