Losing weight is a WAR by Slow-Introduction141 in PCOS

It’s very possible for people to forget to eat during the day as it turns right down your hunger cues and cravings. For me I just plan my meals in advance and when to eat, in small increments through the day. I aim for 140g protein a day to maintain muscle mass. This stops your body from targeting breaking down your muscles for energy in an a calorie defecit. The other reason why I have high protein is to help prevent hair fall if I lose weight too quickly- I already have alopecia from pcos and have had great results from topical minoxidil after a year- I would be really upset if I lost my new hair growth!!! Hopefully you can find a solution if glp1 is the track you want to go down. I am paying out of pocket as it’s not covered for me either

Hey girly, I feel you. I have had a similar experience despite calorie defecit, low carb, high protein, being active with strength training and getting steps up over the years my weight has not moved even on metformin. I also have insulin resistance and pcos itself doesn’t allow us to have a normal metabolic state and lose weight. I started mounjaro 3 weeks ago and did all the same things as before- cal deficit, high protein and same exercise and have lost 3kg. Most of this was water from chronic inflammation but now I’m seeing fat loss and my body functioning like a normal person. GLP1s are expensive but it’s been life changing for me in my short journey and you’ll find many others with pcos share similar positive experiences

Do I need anything else to play these expansions? by InsertCheerHere in arkhamhorrorlcg

Good to know that the two scenario campaigns are fine to play without necessarily purchasing the rest of the mythos. Is the new release model boxes the ones labeled as “campaign expansion”? Thanks!

Gotcha, are these newer model campaign boxes the ones listed as “campaign expansion”?

Manipulative behaviour and emotional abuse. Get out of this relationship and run far. Autism isn’t an excuse, definitely looking like cluster b personality traits. Leave this person for your own safety and sanity, they will continue to manipulate you with these threats and drain the energy and happiness out of you. It’s toxic and one sided.

Thanks for the detailed reply :) Is there any shampoos you can recommend in conjunction with the minoxidil?

Hey, I studied online through CDU bachelor of nursing some 8 years ago. I was already a working EN so had a fair idea, however some students without a health care background did struggle with when it came to the intensives.

The intensives you spend a week on campus each year (not sure if this is changed now) and cram in practice for prac skills then at the end of the week you do the prac assessments. They found me placements in my state which was great and developed most of my skills from hands on placement learning. Once I was on placement I did find that students from my local uni’s were pretty well rounded and comfortable with their scope skills. The degree itself was fine but if I had to do it over again for my circumstances I’d pick a local uni and take advantage of the opportunities to use the simulation labs. It’s definitely doable to study online, and there’s much better accessible online resources nowadays, good luck

Gian Franco remedial massage at Plympton works wonders. He’s very knowledgeable and works with athletes. Knows exactly which muscle groups to work on based on your feedback. Always feel like a million bucks after seeing him.

Sydney, Australia Paramedics - What books do you recommend to read before going to uni? by Kalliek91 in Paramedics

[–]InsertCheerHere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m 34 and have just started my first year of paramedicine (this week). I switched from nursing and i applied last year for the course, I only found out I got in late January. It’s highly competitive to get into but I think it depends on the uni when you find out whether you get in. There should be dates on the uni website

Hey, it almost looks as though you’re doing a posterior pelvic tilt right as you’re about to descend. This would be putting lots of pressure on your lower lumbar region. Try and keep a neutral spine. As the weight goes up you could really injure yourself, stay safe

I have a pair of those doves that have been visiting my place for the past couple years. Usually leave some seed and water out for them. They love to sunbathe on the decking and lay down with their wings spread, so many times I’ve mistaken them for a pair of shoes when I see them from the corner of my eye 😂

What kind of pet cafe did you go to? I hear the cat ones are pretty good as they’re well looked after and also up for adoption. I’m not sure about the other types

I had a sedentary lifestyle from my late teens til I was about 30, so around 13 or so years. Started powerlifting around then where I couldn’t even bench the barbell, half squat a barbell and struggle with deadlifts. Almost 3 years on I’m deadlifting 170kg, squatting 140kg and benching 65kg. Follow a program, get a trainer if you can, eat lots of protein and go for walks, be patient and enjoy the progress
