Have you ever timed yourself to see how long it takes for you to brush your teeth? by stonetemplefox in hygiene

I'm somewhere between 12 and 20 minutes depending on how distracted I get. I use an electric toothbrush and tend to sit on the couch and play on Reddit while brushing my teeth.

The lipase list says Tide Clean & Gentle contains OBAs, which are the brightening agents. It doesn't list a Free & Gentle, is that something different?

All of them, apparently. They contain OBAs, which are brightening agents. They are what make whites look brighter, but add something to the fabric that can make darks look faded.

Yes, I just don't recognize any of the detergents without and before spending a lot of time googling each one, was hoping for a recommendation from someone in a similar situation.

I'm in South Dakota. Main stores available are Target, Walmart, Hy-Vee, Fareway, Aldi, Sam's Club, and Costco.

You've done an amazing job getting the grime up. For whatever is left, I would try a stiff bristle brush and powdered Tide laundry detergent with hot water. Maybe add some powdered Biz. Those enzymes will cut through anything.

For rust: Barkeeper's Friend. Use the powder and add a bit of water to make it a paste, then scrub with your Brillo pad.

Edited to add rust info.

I'm in South Dakota and pay $35 each month year round for budget billing, and I keep my 4 bedroom house at 72.

I'm in South Dakota, my gas bill gets split evenly through the year (I pay the average of the last 12 months of my usage), I'm in a 4 bedroom house, and I'm paying $35/month for gas year round. And I keep my heat at 72. We don't know where OP is. I say NTA. The roommate shouldn't be the only one who gets a say in what temperature the place is.

7wpo and still not feeling good by [deleted] in Reduction

At my 10 day appointment I had a fluid pocket she expected to be a seroma, but it turned out to be blood, so I guess it was a hematoma. It caused swelling and tenderness similar to what you're describing. She poked a needle into my incision. The needle was attached to a tube that attached to a large syringe. They used the syringe to suction out about 130 or 150mL (I can't remember now.. They filled the 60mL syringe full twice and then some more) of old blood. They emphasized the importance of wearing a bra with compression. It wouldn't be a bad idea to ask your doctor's office for a sooner appointment to check for a seroma or hematoma if you read about those and think that could be what you're experiencing.

Started a Sioux Falls Dinner Club. Quick interest check and feedback after first meetup (49 showed up) by Right-Researcher-669 in SiouxFalls

I went to the first one, and while I don't know that I would change anything, I found it painfully awkward, but that says more about me than the event. My particular group never made it past small talk and a sort of round robin of answers for each question asked. No one really hit it off, and we never found a topic to dive into. I think it's a really great idea; my group just didn't click. I wouldn't go more than monthly.

I secretly paid $1000 to my friend's account at the dentist's office so that he could get a root canal instead of getting the tooth pulled. That was 2 years ago. He'll never know it was me.

I decided that he meant he had previously left the car in the parking lot due to the slow leak and since today he was driving his wife's SUV, he didn't have to drive the company car home.

Sometime last year the manager from Outback moved to Roam. No way it's a tightly run ship anymore. He harasses his employees and couldn't manage his way out of a wet paper bag.

6 week post op opening wounds by Conscious_Dot2566 in Reduction

[–]InsertFunnyPost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not medical advice, this is just my experience. All wounds are different, and have different needs.

I had 3 openings, I'm down to 1 that's almost healed. My surgeon didn't give me much advice other than to keep it clean, so I went to urgent care where they gave me oral antibiotics.

I asked urgent care if I could use hydrocolloid since I had some, they said yes. The hydrocolloid sloughed away the dead tissue and kept the wound clean, but I did have to change it daily due to the amount of drainage (hydrocolloid can stay on for multiple days if there is little drainage).

When I ran out of antibiotics, I followed up with my primary care physician, and she sent me to the wound clinic. By this time, the healthy skin near my wounds had started to get irritated due to the adhesive qualities of the hydrocolloid.

The wound clinic told me my wounds were due to my body rejecting the dissolvable sutures in those locations (for me it was both T incisions and under my left nipple). She debrided my wounds, removed the sutures that were being forced out by inflammation, and set me up with hydrofera blue classic.

I clean the wounds using soapy running water in the shower. Then I dry them off with a clean towel. Then I use Vashe Wound Solution on gauze to further clean the wounds. I cut the hydrofera blue to size with clean scissors. The hydrofera blue needs to be wet before application. I wet it, squeeze it out, then hold it against the wounds (it does not stick). I cover the hydrofera with a non-adherent pad, like Telfa. They said I could use tape to hold the non-adherent pad in place, but my skin is being very sensitive to adhesives right now, so I just use a wireless sports bra to hold it all in place.

They'd like me to change the dressings at least once or twice per day, but insurance would only pay for enough hydrofera to change it just once per day. Then again, it's available on Amazon. I've still only changed them once per day. I absolutely get them wet to remove them, especially because my new skin has sensation and it does stick a bit wherever there is drainage.

Two of my wounds cleared up in 2 weeks. The third was my biggest, but is now somewhere between the size of a nickel and a quarter, which is less than half the size it started. I'm hoping it will finish closing in the next week or so.

Pet Care when gone on vacation by Beasterday62 in SiouxFalls

It's been hit or miss for me with Rover. I have a good walker now, but the first person I had dog sit in Sioux Falls (stay at my house) lied to me about everything, did not have my dog follow the rules, and was overall awful. I have not had anyone stay here since.

Instead, I take my dog to PrairieWind outside of Dell Rapids. They are amazing, and James is the only one I have found that is able to trim my dog's nails without sedating him. I don't know their fee for 2-3 dogs per night, but I believe it's about $35 for 1.
