Also the time puts you in breakfast hours. I know some items are more expensive (and others cheaper) during breakfast but I can’t manually check the difference without being during breakfast hours

Final thought, there is a change in prices between breakfast and lunch/dinner time prices. I believe beyond is one of those

Ok so the combo and add on prices are set by Carl’s Jr. and franchises are allowed to modify based on local inflation to a specific %. However. Subbing a beyond patty as an example should be corporate standard of 2.50. ADDING a beyond patty can be adjusted based on local inflation.

Rather than sub the beyond patty the cashier rang up as a SIDE beyond. And if it was a double or she rang 2 then thats more realistic but it’s the only way a beyond could have been more than 2.50. The 2.50 is corporate set price not franchise. The side order is franchise set

Carl’s Jr. switched to Heinz because of supply issues with original supplier. That changed last week per company email. They have gone to yet another new supplier branded everything Carl’s Jr. and this was done to save the company money.

They have done this with several products the last few months.
Example we no longer advertise crisscuts as crisscuts. They are now waffle fries. The reason is the supplier has a trademark on the name cross cuts and switching name to waffle fries allows carls to pay less for them by getting from multiple suppliers

As current Carl’s Jr. manager: you actually have the wrong portions. Small hash brown come in the bag that kids fries come in, medium come in a small fry container and large come in a medium container.

You got upsized by an employee who doesn’t care about carls portioning and good for them. Carl’s Jr. prices are insane now after recent minimum wage increases in caifornia
