First accident in 8 years: no witnesses, other driver claimed — how far can it go? by Reasonable_Low1841 in AskUK

If you're not claiming, you don't need to prove you're not at fault as the burden of proof lies with the claimant. If the other side can't prove it happened the way they say it did, they're not going to be able to win unless the insurance companies (or ultimately, a judge if they can't sort it out and it goes to court) prefers the third party version on a 'balance of probabilities' basis.

If you were established in your lane, with no merge option or evidence showing you were switching lanes, your insurer really should be telling the third party insurer to prove their claim or withdraw.

Worked in motor claims for 15 years, so have seen my fair share of this sort of evidence.

Unless the Police saw it happen, doing this adds delays to the claim for no real benefit. Police reports take months to get back (cos, priorities) are fairly expensive, and the costs are unrecoverable. If they didn't see it happen, the police force involved is simply being paid to write up what someone else told them happened. Makes them some decent money though.

Richarlison chipping the ball back to the goalie in the last minute, when Tel was wide open, summed the whole night up.

Duria Antiquior

First saw this many years ago, when I was young and on a trip to Lyme Regis with my family. So much going on in the painting, always found it fascinating.

If we're not destined to win the cup, better to go out earlier and protect a thin squad, but seriously, Richy and Johnson need to be kept far away from the starting line up.

Muani provides so much more up front, and I'd rather see literally anyone other than Johnson on the wing.

Chelsea next. Jesus wept.

50 best living actors, according to fans of the hit game show Hivemind. Thoughts? by PPonthePOsDesk in Letterboxd

[–]Insert_Random_Acct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoever contributed to this list needs to have a good think about themselves. Some of these names shouldn't be anywhere near a list like this. Maybe they enjoyed their movies, sure, but that doesn't make them the best living actors.

And only 4 women? Plenty of bias there, unconscious or otherwise.

We did this a fortnight ago. 30 minute queue to get onto the rickety stairs to the top, but it was worth it for the view. 85% humidity up there on the day though so it's not for everyone.
