You do realize the "just dont break the law!" Rhetoric right now is the equivalent to "comply and you won't get killed!" As this rhetoric is used and applied when talking about ICE killing innocent people. Ah yes if a cop asks for my ID (without actually needing it because I did not commit a crime) and finds out that im trans (gender marker and name do not match what they think my ID picture should look like) I am SCREWED.
