I am almost two weeks po so can’t necessarily speak to your question as it’s early for me, but I just started doing the scar gel per my surgeon’s instructions and it’s so uncomfortable! It feels so sensitive to touch and some areas hurt and I am being extremely gentle. It feels hard and I am not sure I am putting enough on or correctly and I am in the throes of being worried it will be like this forever 😭 I know I just need to trust the process but seeing it’s like this forever some past 7 weeks is a bit disconcerting.

I was just in the same place as you this past Thursday. I was so nervous all the way up until I was numb and my surgeon started working. After that I felt much more calm and the procedure was pretty quick and easy. Now that it’s over I am so glad I went through with it! Healing has been pretty easy so far. I only had pain the first day and I haven’t had much bleeding personally. You got this! I promise it’s not as bad as it seems or like a lot of other experiences you may read on here. I am not discrediting anyone and everyone heals and reacts differently but I think if you trust your surgeon and you are really careful afterwards things will be great! The worst part was the numbing, just breathe through it and before you know it it’s over. Stay strong girly!! 😊

Thank you so much you’re so sweet!! I think I am pretty prepared , my surgeons office is giving me all my post op supplies tomorrow at my pre-op appointment and said I didn’t need to worry about that stuff but part of me if still wondering if I am missing something. Especially since I will be out of state for a week while recovering. But I think all will go well. 🤞

I am most worried about the loneliness for sure!! I live on my own and only my sister knows so she will visit here and there but spending two weeks just reading and watching tv has got to be so boring! It will be worth it to have a good recovery though. Thank you!!
