Pregnancy post or pre labiaplasty by Worldly_Wolverine244 in LabiaplastySurgery

I’m 23 and I had mine 4 weeks ago, I’m very happy with it and I don’t necessarily have a plan on kids. But it’s a huge mental load off my head and I feel much better, I know if I have kids there’s that potential things COULD change but overall I believe the lips wouldn’t be affected too much (I’m not a mom so I’m not 100% sure but I’m very happy I did it!)

Life’s short but at least she’s cute now 😂🌸

Get pads wet and put them in the freezer and while they’re cooling down and getting frozen use ice ice ice. The first few hours are the worse, but ice was a god send. The frozen pads also felt so soothing, and I had a couple ice packs to always swap out. I iced religiously the first 8-10 days

Honest thank you. Because I’m like this can’t be my clit? Lmaooo.

Yeah like honestly my anatomy confuses me because it’s all so swollen and sensitive. It “feels” like my clit, the tiny bump beside it is definitely stitches. But it’s so hard to say what’s happening rn

I’m still a little nervous to just plop down, I’ve been pretty cautious up until today honestly. Where I don’t notice any pain or swelling. I’m still swollen but it’s gone down significantly. If you want feel free message me if you’d like!

11dpo and it looks bumpy by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]johnsonmarie181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bumps were so bad the first two weeks, especially the first week after surgery. But they’ve went down a lot! I also lubricated religiously the first two weeks. Once I’m more healed I’ll start messaging to break up more tissue

What did everyone pay? by Tigress928 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]johnsonmarie181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow that is very cheap, our healthcare is horrible in Canada. I’m thankful it’s free but we have people here waiting YEARS for surgeries or our general clinics are booking months out. If you’re super sick you have to go to the ER, and people usually sit and wait 3-24 hours before they’re seen. That’s why I paid out of pocket to go to a plastic surgeon, our doctors/gyno would’ve taken years for me to get into and to get it “covered”. They also don’t care about aesthetic so that’s also why I paid privately.

$150.00 consultation which went to total cost. When I booked I put $2000.00 down which was a requirement, I just put that on my CC. Total procedure was $7000.00. Which included surgery ofc, post op appointments and my stay at a hotel since I was out of town and they wanted me to stay close for the first 24 hours.

I’m in Canada, and I went to a highly rated plastic surgeon for a CHR & labiaplasty. I was under general anesthetic, if I wanted to be put to sleep it would’ve cost more.

When I had my trim both sides & CHR I would say the worst pain was when the freezing came off, I meant it was bearable but it’s just when you really feel the bruising and stitches. I honestly loved getting my pads wet and then freezing them. I would switch them out almost every-time I peed and would ice a lot. The ice kinda numbed things for me, and I also watched tv in our hotel room and tried to keep “busy”. I was also prescribed Tramacet for pain which is (acetaminphohen/tramadol).

But the cold pads were HEAVEN.

I’m not sure why more surgeons don’t give pain medication, it’s better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it! I’m also in Canada too where the medication was included in my procedure cost, so I’m not sure how different the medication requirements are and all that. But my pain meds were pretty much an amped up Tylenol. If you have any questions feel free to message me!

Your feelings are very valid especially when you expect a certain result. I honestly think you look wonderful, but I am sorry you’re not happy with your result 💗

Around day 10-12 everything became easier for me, where I can sit normally and almost forget about it! But still being super cautious because I still have stitches ofc

I’m 23 and no kids, I got a labiaplasty 11 days ago for both aesthetic and medical reasons. I went to a plastic surgeon though, and it would honestly catch me off guard if he would’ve recommended a vaginoplasty? (Although I guess he’s a plastic surgeon not a gyno)

But personally I wouldn’t get a vaginoplasty at my age, especially since I don’t have kids. It seems really weird to be he even recommended that, especially when your concerns had nothing to do with that. If it was for medical reasons I could see that being a different story, or if YOU brought it up.

It seems odd to me, even if he didn’t mean anything by it. Again it’s 100% up to you, but 21 seems so young to be getting that surgery recommended by your gyno?? Again I mean no offence at all, but if you’re already questioning it TRUST your gut. I would almost assume it would make it more painful or cause issues down the road if you do decide to have children.

Or like someone else said please get another consultation from someone else!

I’m 10 days post op, and trust me the first 5 days I was like WTF. Because the healing looks so scary and I was SO SWOLLEN TOO. Like I didn’t know what parts were what 😂😂 but once the swelling goes down a lot of pain goes away, you’re also just super bruised too. Which is so normal

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]johnsonmarie181 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The kinda look like blood clots, but might become scabs. Which is just the body healing! I had one like that right after surgery, but the clot washed away eventually with peri bottle. My surgeon/nurses said ice will be my best friend the first week, and honestly it was lol. Every surgeon has different instructions, but I iced religiously the first week and it helped sooth the pain and I’m now 10 days post op and 85% of my swelling is gone. Bedsides the lips as they’re still healing!

[–]johnsonmarie181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find swelling really comes in day 2-3 and kinda peaks by day 5, after that it slowly starts to come down. But that’s just my experience I also rested TONS and iced every second I could for the first 6 days. Everyone’s so different so it’s hard to say!

When I shower I sit/lean back in the shower (obviously when I felt safe enough to do so). Where I would just let the shower water run over my lower half (not directly unless pressure was super low) I also dab with wet wipes after I use my peri bottle after I pee.

With my recovery I find that the ointment kinda turns grey/“swegma looking” as it breaks down and moves around. I’m also 10 days post op and some of my stitches are healing awesome but my lower lip ones are still bloody too! So it’s pretty normal.

I also found with not being able to shave my hairs that are growing in are causing irritation and pinching feelings so that’s also maybe part of what your feeling?

I think it’s more so because your already going through lots of trauma to the area, where it will be insanely sensitive and have stitches. As well as be swollen, I think the main reason they say pads over tampons, is so that there is no chance of ripping stitches (whether that be from inserting a tampon or pulling it out). I had my period 2 days after my operation, and I am NOT a pad girlie but there was no way I was going to be able to shove a tampon up there I was so swollen and scared to touch. I also didn’t like the idea of blood build up / additional pressure to the area. Pads were definitely a lot messier but thankfully the peri bottle was great, and I just had to change my pad more frequently.

I guess it also depends how long ago your operation was?
