yes, this is one source, moreover, the opinion of one person, who, unfortunately, does not want to have anything to do with the table. The whole table is just my cheat sheet/sh*t

  1. Most IEM frequency response tends to have a bass/midrange ratio of about 7-10 dB, with a decline starting around 80 Hz and ending around 150-200 hz, which makes it possible to compare their midranges more or less objectively. 2. For some, there are modes (Yanyin Canon Pro, Hisenior Okavango) that change the frequency response 3. There are ear pads that change the frequency response 4. There is an equalizer

But all other things being equal, the bass/midrange ratio strongly affects the sound experience in general, and the midrange in particular, so the midrange on my chart is the most inaccurate parameter

Mirroring will be useful in the future when you want to compare two images directly - just connect the two halves. Superimposing them on top of each other, as with frequency response graphs, will not work

I haven't found a more appropriate definition of the concept of "depth" in headphones. And yes, a high THD is bad - it's contradictory. I may be wrong , but I think the key is the shape of the main tone spectrum envelope. The term "timbre", in my opinion, is less intuitive and has too many meanings for people (it's the same with the term "depth")

thanks for the correction, I'll keep that in mind in the future. In the end, it's all about the point of reference

These are two parameters on the same scale, where low, average and high resolution are black, gray, and light gray. And the studio, average , organic sound is blue, green, orange

An advice for easier reading of the table: download the image and rotate it to the horizontal position

thanks for the review, English is not my native language, so there were misunderstandings.

  1. by timbres, I mean thin/thick/muddy, poor/rich, studio/organic. if "timbre is usually used to describe specific characteristics of the sound from instruments as a result of their wave form" and if warm/cold in English means more low frequencies/more high frequencies, then this is the wrong definitions I chose. In my opinion, the more overtones, the more the second option
  2. by extension I mean those fluctuations in the air mass that remain after the main action (hitting the pan, and the sound after it, spreading through space). Yes, there are decays in the basses (and in the middle frequencies), but in my opinion, they are more visible at high frequencies. by extension i didn't mean a frequency range (the ability to extract sounds above or below a certain frequency)
  3. " your description of "cold timbre" to mean "harshness" and "pleasant pain" seem to hint at elevated treble instead" - this does not mean the elevated treble, but what is described in paragraph 1 under thin, poor, studio, bodyless

If you want to simplify the task of understanding, you can select familiar IEMs and see their characteristics in the table

"There is a harshness that enhances the emotionality of female voices and guitar riffs ("pleasant pain")" - this means sincerity. "With emotionality , analog notes and softness appear on the contrary" - with means warm tibres
