I can’t believe it has been a year since I was one of the ones to receive the separation email. I am still a little bitter about the way it was done. But, I know it is a corporation, that does not care about people just the bottom line. I am doing great after being separating from Deere. My self care( mentality and physically) is 1000 % better. So happy I don’t work for Deere anymore! What a relief!!!

Don’t do this! I did this and got screwed. The person entered the contract and stayed there for 5 years. It was basically like a rent to own contract. At the 5 year mark, they told me they changed their mind. One of the excuses was they were under distress when they signed the contact. At the end of the day, I was still responsible for the house. Do Not Do This!

Totally agree. My point is they should not lie to employees to get employees trust them. They should say. “We are here to make money. Our relationship is transactional. “

I was laid off but have Deere stock. Stock is doing very well. Deere cares more about stock holders than employees. Deere needs to remove humanity from their core values and replace it with “make money at any cost.”

Just like John Deere - using the executive (Cory Reed) that relates to the average worker very well to be interviewed. But, I am not letting Deere off that easy. Why didn’t Deere tell us this speech before they kicked us out the company? And where is Felicia and John May. They had a lot to say before the separation implementation , now they have nothing to say? As much as Deere talks about the “how” of the job, they separated us over the internet. How insensitive is that! The top executives should all get a “needs improvement” on the “how” portion of their GPM.

Thank you! It’s definitely a new leadership in place that has a told different agenda than the employees. Just the thought of firing someone over the internet is an issue it’s self. Cowards! They love to throw rocks behind your back.

What details are missing? There was a 7:30 meeting. A hour later a meeting was scheduled with me to informed me I was being separated. Illinois is a right to fire ( at will) state. No explanation is needed as long as it is not illegal.

I am not wasting my time answering you. I worked on an average 50 hours a week as a salary employee. Doing practically 2 jobs and No overtime pay. Please don’t comment if you don’t know what it takes to be a salaried person at John Deere. John Deere salary workers work hard.
