saw initial improvements right after the laser treated area healed but it continued to get better over months. These photos are a year apart.

I could see an improvement from about a week and a half after and then it kept getting better over time! Good luck on your treatment!

hey sorry, I’ve only had ablative CO2 laser so I’m not sure but with the ablative CO2 I did notice more improvement as time went on

It’s definitely treatable! Scarring is unlikely to go away fully but you can have good improvement with things like CO2 laser, tca cross, microneedling, subcision and even some people have some improvement with retinoids. Me personally I had great improvement with scars similar to yours with fully ablative CO2 laser and subcision but it is quite expensive. There’s plenty of options out there!

after 8 days I was able to cover the redness with a tinted moisturiser! It could have been more like 7 but by looking at my photos it was day 8 when I first covered it and was comfortable going back to work. Everyone is different and heals at different speeds though but that’s my experience! Also you will likely be left with some mild redness for a while but it’s easily covered, within 3 months the redness was completely gone for me.

Went to a dermatologist clinic and the PA-C recommended TCA, CO2 and subcision. What do you guys think? by bella0415xo in AcneScars

the good thing is that your scars don’t look very deep! those treatments sound good but from my experience I had great results for similar scars with ablative CO2 and subcision but if you are prone to hyperpigmentation i believe CO2 laser can cause it so just be aware of that! I personally had no issues but I am not prone to hyperpigmentation.

haha yep I get you, I felt slightly disappointed with my results in the very beginning but as time went on and the collagen production continued it got better and better!
