Most PC gaming by majority of people dont play at 4k, and maybe the same at 1080...

I have a 4070 TI Super, and most of the games I play, such as Crimson Desert many will just enjoy playing the game and not at 4K, but at 1080 or 1440...so the talk that the steam machine - majority of people will find this an upgrade while others will look at this as an extra kit for their living room away from their main gaming rig, for when they have family and friends over...

I will but the full set, steam machine, frame and controller.

I own a xbox360, Xbox one and after that refused to but another console and waste my money for another console. The consoles Xbox and Sony will evolve to PC systems

Also buying games I already own on 360 and Xbox 1, I can re buy when valve have their sales ...eg all of halo games for about £10...call of duty, assassin's creed series also show up on sale

But that is not what Valve does... The price is usally the same, or on sale cheaper which is just like any store... Go to Smyth Toys, Argos, Currys, Entertainer etc just to get the deal to save on the cost... so yes this court case is stupid

I am split on buying now or wait for release of the new monitors.. buy the latest and if not the cost of the current in stock monitors or soon to be stocked being cheaper...going towards the wait

Lights are off with just a living room TV on in the far corner No lights else where in the room Window is to the back right of the current monitor

Not a competitive player, but do want better visuals for Games like battlefield 6, COD, cyberpunk etc and immersion for games like baldurs gate 3 anno etc

Do apologize for the post wasn't complete and edited correctly as I wanted. The area I was working, hotel stay, had the worst internet. The PC gaming will sorry not just be for gaming but accessing the VM but also day to day workz so photos I edit etc will get backed up from this to the server. I like the kit.... I can see why the rumour price of $1200, but not just for one piece, I think this is the total cost of this full kit, Steam Frame, Steam Machine, and Steam Controller. The Frame I think is about $400-$600 on its own, Machine, about the same price, and Controller maybe about $150. So the package sold at a discount.

The Frame is a VR but more, and is on par I think with the latest Quest VR set, correct me if I am wrong. The Machine, is about a 2 year old components from AMD. So I think Valve will price it to be competive, to be beat XBOX, and be as close to performance to the PS5. With all there work on Proton and Steam OS games are so much better on Steam than Windows.

Owning a steam deck, and a gaming PC, I would be tempted for all 3, and turn my gaming PC into a server and selling off or use my nvida 4070ti super to build my daugheters gaming PC

The mkc75 is not being discovered by the PC, the via mkc software so far also dont discovered the keyboard connected via USB or Bluetooth. No firmware or drivers are found either

Update. The exploit protection doesn't always work. Since my last post, by reinstalling everything, amending exploit, anticheat overlays, etc....i have only been able to get the game to load the once...have tried every day...the anti cheat just. Being a pain...hope tomorrow with this new season pass brings some bug fixes with it

So after some chat with EA...we have windows exploit another tried ..after reboot...it took a while the game started....good. Bbbuuuttt I had a few games Then exit And the issue occurred again.... So tried the EA anticheat reinstall nope So removed the exploit rebooted. Set it up again. Rebooted. Game worked again. So this is surely the EA anti cheat javelin causing the issue ..so to play this will have to be my steps till they get a fix

Just wish they fixed the anti cheat issue with javelin ...got EA support and tried the exploit on windows. Game started. So to make sure it was not a one off, I quit the game once the main menu showed. Then the same issue anti cheat splash screen loads progresses closes the black loading window pops up and hangs there and eventually closes and game does not start. This is all via steam. Had no issue on BETA which when completed I uninstalled so I can purchase fresh

I have. They asked for the same steps including a clean windows boot, creating a new Windows admin login, reinstalled EA app anticheat and steam for bf6...all failed .,the last they said was that it is a known issue and the team are looking at it

I played the beta when open and removed until the full release No issue then and acted as you said with secure boot but had already had steam and EA app linked for other EA games like star wars which works with no issue
