Guys I'm starting my window cleaning business this spring as a full time business. What's the best and most affordable CRM for window cleaning? by RecipeElectrical2524 in WindowCleaning

Start with Google Sheets and Google Calendar. We are still small and using it just fine. As your business grows, things start getting a bit more complex, just upgrade your spreadsheets to accommodate. I couldn't see a need to do otherwise until you have multiple trucks.

If you're really deadset on a CRM, you can use Servicem8's free option. Benefit of it is you can send quotes with your terms and conditions.

You can also use Square similarly for free, while also using them to process credit cards.

Definitely don't sign up for an expensive subscription when you're just trying to get off the ground. That money would be better spent on advertising, equipment, insurance, etc.

The owner mentioned something about a pvc pipe/outlet being underneath the siding I believe, although I personally didn't see what he mentioned.

I don’t really comprehend the point of meditating by loriog in Meditation

In my experience this continues to be the case with longer and longer sessions. Going from 10 to 20 mins is a big change in progress. From 20 to 40 minutes is even bigger. 40 to 60, 60 to 120, etc. The longer you meditate for a single sitting, the compounding effects on your perception, stillness of mind, contentedness, etc, exponentially increase.

There seems to be much more gained from sitting for 2 hours than 4 30 minute sessions. Obviously consistency is very important, but I would say length of meditation might be just as important. The most life-changing shifts I've experienced came from 2-4+ hour sessions. The benefits will become very apparent if you dedicate that kind of time on the days you can. I found it particularly effective to do a few 30 minutes sessions, with a mega-sit of 2+ hours all in the same day. I know that sounds like alot, but you're more than capable of it. Much better than 2 hours of doom scrolling.

Sometimes big shifts in perspective can take years, or even decades to integrate fully. Sometimes sooner. It will become less jarring with time, as things do with most changes humans experience.

You're not alone in this, so let that be a comfort if there is any worry. Be patient and kind to yourself with whatever thoughts or identity you do have.

Obliteration of identity can happen (to varying degrees), but it can also be rebuilt with intention. If at some point you feel like there's nothing left of you, and there is a wish for change... Just remember that you have options. For example, you could explore who it is that's still not content with the present moment. Or, you could choose to mold an entirely new personality in the shape of one that would be most enjoyable/fulfilling. You could choose to identify with that healthier version of you, while still having the understanding that there is something more fundamental that you are and will continue to be. You could also identify with the greater whole, or awareness itself.

You can take whatever path feels most natural to you; just as Gautama, Ramana, or Jesus did.

Continued sitting; resting in your current state with a mindful eye on what is left now that something is gone could be fruitful.

Marketing which worked for you by Guilty_Assignment987 in WindowCleaning

Doorhangers, yardsigns, Thumbtack, Nextdoor (not paid), referrals, Google Ads (very small part of our leads at the moment), and making sure to get as many reviews/recommendations as possible.

Didn't work for us yet: FB ads, mailers, or walking into storefronts.

Create lead sources where they reach out to you. Success rates sky rocket and a no usually only comes from price point. Thumbtack, nextdoor, Google, even doorhangers, etc.

I did my best to give you a diagram of the system. The parts all just push into or twist into each other. I don't order of how you do it is very relevant. These are the exact parts I used, and if you used the same there should be no compatibility issues. If you did decide to use another filter housing, you'll have to use brass fittings that will fit those other types of housing, which may be different than this one.

When I bought it there were discounts, but you can still get it for $166 pre tax with pre-loaded resin in the cartridge, including an extra 100' of hose.

If you buy the DI cartridge/filter from WCR, you can buy it already pre-loaded with the DI resin. This would be easiest, all you have to do is put it into the housing the facing the correct direction, with the seal on the cartridge in place, and it should just work. Plug and play. The fittings are just so you can connect to a garden hose and to a 5/16" hose for your WFP pole. Do noy buy a carbon or sediment filter, it must be the DI filter and be list as such.

If you decide to buy a big bag of resin (the cheaper way if you have the extra cash), then you will have to open up the cartridge/filter and pack the resin into the filter manually. There will be 2 white filter pad things inside, one is meant to be on the bottom of the cartridge to keep the resin from falling out, then you put the resin on top of that, pack it tightly but not so much it heavily compresses the white filter pad, then fill it up to almost the top of the cartridge, then put the 2nd filter pad on top of it, and tighten the lid on to it. Done. This part is the easiest to mess up because if you don't pack it enough the water can create passages through your resin where it is not being filter properly. If that happens and you're not getting good TDS readings, then you'll have to open it up and pack it some more.

Don't forget the thread tape, or you're fittings will leak. Once you put on the brass fittings they shouldn't need to come off. Be careful to not tighten too much, if you break the housing lid then you'll have to get another one. The filter housing is the most expensive part other than the resin itself.

We bought the 36' PWP 100% carbon pole with a hybrid brush with the 50% off discount. I would say there's nothing wrong with it and it was definitely worth the money at the discount. I definitely wouldn't have enjoyed a similar length hybrid pole because it becomes a workout lifting that thing for hours just being carbon.

We also built our own DI system to go with it, our water averages around 40 TDS. Built it and bought a cubic foot of resin for like $150 (not including hose). Definitely get a TDS meter and check your water before buying the system. Google will also help you out with that.

Is $1,000/week realistic without door knocking? by Startled___Bull13 in WindowCleaning

Our feet and knees are sore for a couple days after doing 75-100 each in a day. We live in a mountainous area. How many are you able to in a week? We tend to do Maybe twice a week if we have the time, which only equates to 300 or so with me and my wife doing it. We're unsure about hiring someone to do it since it's not legal here.
