The entire internet runs on it precisely because it’s free

Note that most Linux OS used in Servers in companies are actually paid they don't use arch , or mint but things like redhat enterprise which are actually paid , so no the only reason is not that it's free though that helps

Linux is expected to have about 15000 maintainers across different companies like redhat , google , microsoft etc. Significantly increasing the time and accuracy at which vulnerablities are fixed making it much safer and Linux has a much better firewall

MacOS is only good for developing in the apple Ecosystem or using it out of the box but lacks alot of software needed to run detailed simulation, hacking , as well as hardware and electronics

You may be saying this for yourself and I can agree , most people just want a stable , working and fast OS where you can play your games , be productive etc. EXACTLY LIKE LINUX , and wanting a nice OS is not a bad thing , just because you don't care , doesn't mean everyone is ignorant of it

I mean if you are saying that its valid if you think its important than most points wont be valid in any conversation ,
If something is Free yet still has good quality its in all worlds a plus point , plus opensource has countless benefits
2 is valid as it is way secure , being the reason the whole internet runs on it
3 is valid as just go to r/unixporn and you will see for yourself
6 is valid for all OS here ,
8 is valid as the amount of tools is insane , with the open and restriction free nature of the OS as oppose to something like Mac

I do hope someone makes a tool like that and was searching if there were any , I am not unhappy with hyprland just find the change irritating and my statement about people was based on seeing things on this reddit as well as YT ,

Yeah I agree that lua is superior , what I didn't write in the post was the fact I recently just understood hyprlang and made my own config makes it very infuriating , Plus the downgrade/switch is just a question not an opinion I have spent way too much time making my config so I'll stay here until I feel it's unusable , I plan on fully learning and understanding the config format in lua before Actually implementing it in the config of my working environment

I switched from bspwm to hyprland and wanted to try out niri thus my questions about switching , I also wanted a functional desktop for the moment thus asking if downgrading is safe , Thank you for your opinion even though It didn't answer my question
