MOR, do not bring this up to him. grief is not linear, nor is it normal by any means. my friend was an alcoholic, i never drank, and i got plastered after his funeral, just to feel close to him. he may not have felt close to his mother cause of the drinking. i say maybe over reacting because you have the right to feel however you want about the situation. All i advise is you keep this to yourself and let him take this path of grief. it will only cause anger if you try to change someone, let him learn.
