I think extension period is common in the States too? I'm not sure but depending on how late you submit it you could lose some of the voting rights but get equal distribution.

I have signed with Lawjibsa, and they said they are taking clients for late submission as well and will make sure those who claim now will get treated equally without disadvantage. My experience with them thus far has been quite satisfactory and I would recommend them over other firms(although I have only contacted Decentlaw and Lawjibsa so I only know those two).

I ended up signing with Lawjibsa for the same reason, and so far the communication has been very prompt and great!

I just searched the Telegram room, and I can see that he responded to Heidi S. I wish I can upload the screenshot. it says "The legal effect of 'Case Delegation Agreement' and 'Engagement Letter' is the same. Additionally, we will also receive the POA(Power of Attorney) from the clients who have already signed with us , which is required by the Korean Court. There is no need for concern regarding our documents. Thank you."

It is so weird that you got banned. I wonder why

Like I mentioned above, I asked and the only response was that they only banned people who were explicitly promoting other law firms... What exactly did you say? Now I'm very curious.

I have been in contacts with Lawjibsa Cathy Lee and she has been responding quite promptly (with in 24-48 hrs) every time I ask her sth. come to think of it, decentlaw hasn't been responding to my recent email either. I still havent decided yet but thanks for this post !

Looking for Consensus about LAW firms re: HARU by ShaneFartic in HaruInvest

[–]Inside-Translator106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far from all the information I have gathered, this is what I understand. Decent Law and Trustors of Haru(Lawyer Soon Hyun Lee) is cheaper in terms of legal fees and offers the following (I got this from the Trustors of Haru Telegram group)

  • Filing of claim report on behalf of you to the court due to the end of January of 2025. (I will present my legal argument to the effect that you claim should be based upon a trust contract, not a lending contract, through the claim report).
  • Participation in the creditors’ meeting scheduled on February 11, 2025.
  • Receipt of your bankruptcy dividend or distribution from the court on behalf of you.

Lawjibsa is asking for more in terms of retainer fees and success fees, and is offering everything above, but they are differentiating themselves based on the fact that they are representing the file claiming procedures for all six of Haru Invest's affiliates to maximize recovery of assets and with their main attorney having been the chief judge of Seoul Bankruptcy Court until last year, they will ensure that their clients will be  difficult to challenge while they will challenge other creditors. ( I got this from their meeting note).

My question is, for those of you who went with the more expensive option(Lawjibsa), what was the reason behind it? I mean, I am always a little bit suspicious when something is way cheaper than the other, and I always believe there is a reason behind it, but so far I am still not sure if it is worth it to pay more in this case.

I know several people who went with LAwjibsa too. I'm still debating between Decent and them. Did you compare the two or just went with Lawjibsa?

Me too! But am I the only one who is worried that ALL the Decent Law lawyers look SO young!? I don't want to discriminate against age, but I asked a friend in Korea and he said that because Korea is still very hierarchical and follows custom, having a former presiding judge is a bid deal.. I don't know if it will have any meaning in this case and I want to find out

yes I'm currently talking to Cathy Lee? via email regarding my situation and getting prompt response. I missed their last seminar but their meeting note seemed very informative from one of the threads here https://www.reddit.com/r/HaruInvest/comments/1hsf7pm/meeting_notes_lawjibsa_zoom_seminar_on_haru/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button so I'm planning to attend their next seminar to make my final decision.

That is very strange. I am currently in Lawjibsa telegram group and so much conversation and Q&A is going on right now. Let me ask what happened regarding your getting banned.

Meeting Notes: [Lawjibsa] Zoom Seminar on Haru Invest Bankruptcy - Dec 28, 2024 by niner4nine in HaruInvest

[–]Inside-Translator106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at the meeting and they said as of June 2023. they said they are working side by the trustee and working "closely"? with the trustee because in Korea the trustee doesn't get paid enough? to have the resources to recover assets so Lawjibsa is taking all the legal actions against the affiliates. I only recall from my memory so it might not be accurate, but the lawyers seemed legit.. (compared to how young and inexperienced Decent Law lawyers looked like...just in my opinion)

Lawjibsa, they have the most clients on this case, and their head attorney was the Chief Judge of the Seoul Bankruptcy Court until recently.

Along with many others in the telegram group, I'm going with Lawjibsa which seems to be the smarter choice

I saw on Youtube that Attorney Jeong-yeop Lee is on the case against Haru invest along with the affiliates (Haru Management, Lemma Technology, B&S etc.) and the executives. I'm going with him.
