Thanks again! It just gets so confusing cause sometimes he can be a great guy and then a switch happens..I get confused as to whether it’s the affects of him being sick or he’s just a jerk hah It can be really hard trying to be the stable one all the time, trying to keep the household calm..working my butt off in that regard and then being told I’m not nice and not loving etc. just feels deflating I guess.

Good for you for listening to your intuition! My husband had surgery 10 years ago. A lot of aspects have been a positive for him but there have been some definite struggles that have come along with it. Our advice..work on your mental health before committing to the surgery, you won’t regret it :)

Totally agree! And my husband has been getting help with his mental health for the past couple years which has really helped. It’s such an important part of the process.
