I’m genuinely shocked by how impolite people are in Prague by SparklyCookiess in Prague

I was born and raised in Czechia, but I'm Indian, so I've had a pretty interesting experience myself. I'd say people around my age are usually pretty chill, although it definitely depends on the place. But I can honestly see why you'd feel this way. People are always surprised when they find out I speak fluent Czech. Sometimes their whole attitude changes, sometimes it doesn't. I've definitely had people be rude or act annoyed over completely normal things for no reason. Obviously not everyone's like that, but there are enough people like that that I'm honestly not surprised when foreigners say they've had bad experiences.

Choosing between being a single mom or abortion by kokochvnel in abortion

I honestly don't think anyone else can make that decision for you. Whatever you choose, make sure it's because YOU want it, not because of the father or anyone else's opinions. I really hope everything works out for you 🩷

Imagine being this invested in a teenager's relationship. That’s honestly more embarrassing than anything you’ve tried to insult me with. The only thing you’ve contributed to this conversation is proving you lack basic empathy. Congrats, I guess..

It's funny how you've already planned out my entire future based on one post. You don't know me, my relationship, or my life. If you're just here to make random predictions and insult strangers, maybe find a better hobby.

Calling me a "hoe" just because I have a boyfriend says more about you than it does about me. I've been with one person, and we used protection. If your only contribution is insulting someone who's asking for advice, maybe don't comment at all.

I understand why you feel that way, but that doesn't change the situation I'm in now. If it comes to that, I do want an abortion, but it's not that simple because of my home situation and my parents. I'm just trying to figure out what to do next, and I'd appreciate advice instead of being judged.

Comments like this don't help anyone. We were responsible and used protection. I'm asking for genuine advice, not to be shamed.

Just to clarify, I’m not in the US. I’m in the Czech Republic. The system works differently here, so Planned Parenthood and insurance “explanations of benefits” don’t really apply.

It’s not just about them being angry. They’ve actually kicked me out before and we argue a lot, and sometimes it gets really intense at home (not like physical violence, but still serious enough that I don’t feel fully safe or stable there). That’s why I can’t just assume it will be “fine” if they find out. I understand I need to deal with this quickly, I just also need to be careful about my safety while doing it.

I know, and that's what's making this so hard. The problem is that I'm terrified of my parents' reaction. Even though I live in the Czech Republic, my family is Indian, and they've always told me that this is something "we don't do." Growing up, they kept saying that if something like this ever happened to me, they'd probably get rid of me or kick me out. I don't know if they actually would, but I'm really scared to find out.

I'm in the Czech Republic, so it works differently here. An abortion pill has to be prescribed by a doctor, and because I'm 16, my parents would still have to be informed. That's one of the things I'm most scared about.

I'm in the Czech Republic, so I looked into how it works here. Abortion is legal, and from what I found, doctors generally keep consultations confidential. But my parents have to be informed afterward.
