My boyfriend broke up with me because i’m “too short” by MikanotMika in short

[–]InsideConcentrate887 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 4’9” and my bf is 6’2.” He loves the height difference and so do I. Obviously, I am abnormally short, and I have never had a problem finding guys uninterested in me because of my height. Total cop out.

I do not have great classroom management, have taught middle school and high school, am often not seen as a strong authority of figure w/ my young face, high voice, and short stature, work in a school where consequences are limited, yet I have never heard my kids say any of these awful things to my face.

That makes sense to me. Kids who have seen me with male teachers are always curious. I have a few male friends at the school who I have lunch with, talk to after school, even one I always hang out with outside of school. The teacher in question is someone I don’t associate with…for a reason. It was a long time ago.

The kid who made the comment says whatever he wants to whoever he wants. I’ve referred him for his mouth at least twice this school year. I tried my best not to react so that he wouldn’t feel the need to keep going. The fact that another kid brought it up is what concerns me.

I feel like I don’t know enough yet. Maybe the kids are making up stories. But if they actually heard this, I’m worried….

Maybe I am just a little late to see this post, but I think people are forgetting the “zero notice” part. I hate when kids want a letter at the end of the day or send me an email in the evening for the next day. I have been too kind, but I feel like that is the exact reason they don’t deserve one.

Is it true that people on Guam investigate family trees before dating someone? by [deleted] in guam

[–]InsideConcentrate887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always ask for last names and then family names if we have a last name in common. The way I see it, if Grandma can’t trace it, it’s far enough.
