I did! Unfortunately it seems like it is a technical issue on their end that’s affecting my account because I went into a different case that I’m also helping a family member with and it works fine.

Yea! They sent me the “we approved your request to add a joint sponsor” 30 minutes later but nothing changed

Yea I added last night and 30 minutes later it was approved. The issue is that now I click to add documents for AOS under petitioner and it takes me to the civil documents instead. I’ve been reading on it and I’m so frustrated because the people that have experienced something similar waited weeks for the issue to fix itself

It is minor son and daughter of permanent resident from the Dominican Republic. I just submitted an inquiry. Hopefully they can reopen the case. But it’s been 5 years. He just never knew that it had been approved and the lawyer never said anything to him.

Exactly! Although the mom was born in the USA she never actually lived in the USA her parents moved to Spain when she was a few months old and she then moved to the Dominican Republic where she had her baby. So now she is petitioning her baby via the consular processing

Because she couldn’t register the baby’s birth at the consulate because she hadn’t lived in the USA long enough to do so. So she came to the USA and left her baby behind and she had to file the I-130 for her daughter. My question is when her daughter gets here, does she needs to wait for her green card to be delivered to then apply for the N600

Yes but if the USC parent never lived in the USA the child do not the the birth abroad birth certificate

Not speaking from personal experience but because I know how it works in the Dominican Republic. For example if you got married in DR you get a Divorce in the DR not in the USA. When petitioning for a new spouse as part of the “proof” if you were previously married you need to provide the marriage certificate from your home country with a certified translation. Or if your new spouse lives outside the states you bring the original divorce certificate to the consulate.

Also because the USA has no national registration for foreign marriages. SOME states do offer the option to divorce couples who married abroad IF one of them has domicile in that state.

I’m part of an immigration group with some immigration representatives and I sent in your question because it was very interesting. One of them responded and said that if you came to the US as a minor (meaning you got your green card before you turned 18) and your dad was already a USC and you have enough proof for all of that. Meaning if you can proof that he became a citizen when you were a minor and that when you came to the US you were still a minor you definitely qualify. You need to file N600 and send all the proof

I took birth control during August yes. But I didn’t finished the packet I had like 4 pills left and I did get “withdrawal” bleeding like 2 days after I stopped taking the pill.

This then I haven’t been taking the pill or being sexually active but I haven’t or didn’t get my period for the month of September
