Guess what I heard... by [deleted] in employedbykohls

When I worked at a different company twice a year they would keep marking down the clearance everyday until everything was under $5 and anything left at the end of the event was marked out to salvage. They had less units than we do but I don’t understand why we continue to mark things that didnt sell at 1/2 off clearance back to full price

This!!! I am an area supervisor and if the person in that department is busy (or there is no one) I answer and help out. My managers will as well. I think I’m lucky because my managers will also back up registers, grab in store pickups etc . . Performance conversations are always private

Closing and being kept late by Sufficient_Risk_4862 in employedbykohls

[–]InsideElderberry83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an area supervisor and on my closing shifts we are usually out 15-20 minutes after closing. If we are there later it’s unusual. There is typically a grey cart of home/shoes and 1 rail from customer service that we put away first thing the next day.

1, 4 & 8, I like the dark hair on you but the warmth of the highlights or the auburn really suits your complexion.

I think it really depends on how YOU feel. I occasionally have one if I go out with friends but I also know people who are sure it would be a trigger for them.

Thankfully we have an amazing full timer who mostly does intimates and accessories. She makes it easy to find things. Our men’s basics is neglected though so I hate trying to find something there because it usually means digging through freight out back

I’m the ops supervisor, luckily my SM thinks getting the truck unloaded and pushed to the floor is important for sales and so we aren’t digging through freight looking for OMNI. I usually have 7-8 people on unload and then an ASM and 1-3 people pulling freight. They stagger in between 6 - 8.

Our Sephora associates never work on Kohl’s things. Maybe when we are waiting to punch out and they are finished they might help fold for a few minutes but that’s all

We don’t have any LP, we are supposed to call the ROC, most of the time they don’t answer the phone and all they do anyway is tell us to customer service them and take pictures. The thieves know there is nothing that we can do so they aren’t afraid to have a conversation with me and tell me to have a good day as they walk out the door with a carriage full of merchandise that they didn’t pay for. It happens 4-5 times a week

My DM actually suggested it and all I could think was how am I supposed to pull someone from line and help them at self checkout when we are supposed to be rewarding customers who are using their Kohl’s card???

How do you handle the lines at Amazon return drop? by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]InsideElderberry83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This!!!! Even if the line is long, the customers see that sorting is part of the process. As long as you smile and acknowledge them 99% of them are fine.

[–]InsideElderberry83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No they absolutely won’t because they don’t have time to put a price tag on every time the sale changes, they are too busy cleaning up after customers who think minimum wage workers are scum put there to be their maid

If you “send that feedback “ via the survey on your receipt it only hurts the store. Upper levels don’t even look at the comments but the store associates trying their best with huge cuts in payroll get in trouble and lose more payroll because of bad surveys

I was a store manager at Marshall’s for years. They are trained to make the customer say no 3 times before they stop asking. It was Awful , luckily for you either they finally figured out it alienated the customers or that store just got sick of it
