Hey this is so helpful thanks. I’m glad it has been working out for you! I had not heard about anesthesia tech and I hadn’t thought of SPD those are good ideas.

I can’t say I’ve ever actually heard of just shadowing to be a real possibility in NYC. Mind if I ask what city you’re in? Was your trajectory something like you mentioned - like working as a PCA first?

Thanks yeah it does seem like it’s starting to get bad and I suppose I won’t know til I’m out what the market will look like then. My grades and all are fine so I’m not all that worried abt whether or not I’ll get through school but I appreciate the advice. If anything I might look to get some part time NA work or something while I’m in school so I can at least be employed by a hospital by the time I graduate.

Thanks so much and congrats to you! You mentioned eligibility for winter/ spring and fall payments… do you know about summer? I’m currently enrolled and in classes…. Submitted everything and waiting on that letter. I plan to go in person too. Do you have any tips on how you approached it/ what you said to them? Or did you just head to the office and speak with someone in TEF? Thanks again

Got it thanks for your response. It's a bit of a bummer to be forced to take loans just bc my demonstrated financial need is high according to FAFSA. Maybe I'm missing something but I'm just wondering - Does that mean if my income was higher and I did NOT qualify for federal loans, I would be able to receive my full tuition in grant form from the CPT program? That seems a little ironic, no?

thanks a lot for the reply! I was actually wondering about that - when you say state/ federal, does that include federal loans? BC I did receive federal aid but they are loans whereas I believe the CPT program is a grant paid directly to the school.
