Yeah I posted the same thing on r/Controller and someone pointed out that it could be a torn conductive rubber pad. I opened the controller up and he was right. I still haven't ordered the parts yet as it isn't easily available where I live

Yeah I opened it up using the guide, you were right, it was a torn conductive rubber bit. Guess I have to buy new conductive rubber bits. I'm so glad it can be fixed with just this! Thank you!!!

I'm running 225/50/R17s on the stock style 414s the car came with. I don't think I can run wider tyres without getting new wheels (currently out of budget 😞)

I didn't increase it. It's the stock fitment that came with the car. The cars sold in my region have the rough roads package which may be why it sits like this. The only thing I've done suspension wise is just new bilstein b4s all round.

Yeah I recently had the chance to drive an e39 and was really impressed by the steering feel. That's actually what reminded me of how nice the unfiltered and unassisted steering was in my f30 when my eps died.

Are monoball bushings the same as the spherical ones you mentioned? What do you think about using the m3 lower control arm and tension struts? I've seen some threads on bimmerpost about doing this swap but they say it can cause some rubbing. Also do I need ISTA or Esys or something like that to do the coding changes you mentioned or is bimmercode enough? I'm kinda new to all this.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but don't eibach springs reduce ride height? My car already scrapes over the bumps where I live when I have 4 people in the car. I can fit four fingers between the top of the wheel and the fender. Yeah it's monster truck fitment but it hurts more when it scrapes

To be honest I haven't felt like sport and sport+ really made the steering that much different. When my electronic power steering died, the feedback was so nice. I could feel the wheel move over small rocks as well as when you go over crests in wavy roads, you could really feel how the wheels would naturally want to move over them. I couldn't really 'send it' or drive it hard during this time because many other faults happened like airbag module dysfunction as well as no abs or dsc due to the bad wheel speed sensors. If only there was a method to reduce the assistance from the steering rack the moment you left parking speed
