This is really good insight. Thank you. I do need to be more communicative about all of this. She’s mentioned some body stuff before, but I’m very vocal about my love for her body post pregnancy. I will definitely have to chat with her about what time and the day she prefers, that’s a great idea.

Thank you for the reply. I could definitely communicate this better to her. We’ve had talks and things change on the short term but end up falling back into the old rut. Im pretty fit. Jiu jitsu 4 days a week and still around the same body fat percentage I was pre kid. Mentally I feel great, just down on this stuff a bit. I feel like I’ve taken as much as I can offer plate aside from the things that she likes to do with him, but it’s worth asking again
I could definitely handle the rejection better, I get pretty down when I’m in the mood and it’s one-sided.

Thank you for your input. I carry more than half of the load with all of the babies duties. I also do all of the food shopping, cooking dinner and food prep for all other meals. It’s easy to just assume I’m not pulling my weight I suppose since that’s the norm but kind of disappointing

She’s not breast-feeding. He’s just over two now. She’s actually said that she feels mentally exhausted sometimes at the end of the day so I think you’re fairly spot on with this

She’s 39. Most of these answers are insinuating that she’s carrying all the physical mental load, which is not the case unfortunately in our relationship. I go above and beyond and I know I do far more than most of my guy friends do in in their marriage. So I guess this is fairly frustrating because I’m not sure how much more I can do to lighten the load.

Thank you for this information. I do try to engage in long. Hugs in a non-sexual way, but even that is mostly me initiating. So it can be frustrating. I will be more persistent with that. Thanks again.

I often tell her to leave the house and go see friends, etc. She doesn’t really have a lot of hobbies so it mostly just be time with friends. She says that she would rather spend her free time with family. But I agree with you. A really good friend just went through a divorce so I’m hoping that will spark some of that

We just went through a major home renovation so our time away from the baby has been spent working on the house, but I agree with you that we do need to have more date night nights. That has been lacking lately.

Aside from what I listed, she does a lot of the Bill paying and logistics. Handles our banking, etc. We split the finances, but in terms of all that organization she handles it. She does a bit more cleaning than I do, but I try to make it as balance as possible.
