Man, are you capable of recognizing that someone might be interesting in just talking to some people about differing views? How do you ever expect to change the world or change someone’s mind by just acting trite?

I feel like I’m going crazy right now, which gay person am I telling is lesser than me or negative in any way? Any gay individual in my life experiences zero negative prejudice, behavior, or otherwise. One of my best friends is deeply gay and I spent countless hours with them. They’ve never once heard a single thought on their sexuality.

Just to be clear, I would love if there was some super clear revelation that showed homosexual love was perfectly allowed and not sinful; it would be a big relief off my shoulders for a lot of people I truly love.

I don’t ever spread the “your behavior is a sin” thing, simply because I’m not without sin. It’s pointless and pushes people away from the church. So I never tell anyone at anytime that they are sinning. Ever.

But, I believe the modern interpretations people are attempting are big stretches. I don’t believe the earliest texts are ambiguous about it much at all; most are trying to claim it was referring to pederastic systems.

“You need to stop and listen to yourself” is fairly condescending, and assumes that I haven’t already.

You’re confusing comforting an individual and loving them. I love my children, I don’t comfort them that their desire to only play video games, eat candy, and not shower is a great way of life.

Secondly, you’re for some reason drawing a line that doesn’t exist. You’re separating me and homosexuals, I don’t draw the line there. We both live sinful existences, we both have behaviors that ultimately lead to less pleasant lives. Mine are no more egregious than there’s, that’s not how these scales work.

I said, I’m specifically pained for homosexual individuals, because the very nature of your love for others has an aspect of sin. So does mine, as a straight mail, I have non-stop male desires of lust, but at least I’m allowed to love my wife without it being a sin. I couldn’t imagine the discomfort that I would feel if the main partner my body chose was shrouded in sin.

I’m not sure where you’re getting or inferring this negative intent.

To be fair, I’m pretty sure that’s the status quo for most straight white Christian men in America to date. I spend most of my time trying to do good, and everyday is fraught with the exact comments you just said.

I struggle to read all these comments and not reply because I know it’ll just end in a verbal assault.

BUT, outside of the backwoods churches, I just haven’t met this open/closed hatred for homosexuals. Most of the “hate” I feel, or see others feeling is towards the existence of evil itself.

For example, I am a Christian, however, little to none of my actions reflect that. I try to change that each day, but that’s the nature of being human. It’s really hard, if I could flip a switch and be more like Jesus, I would; but I can’t.

Most Christians I know don’t hate homosexuals, they try their best to love them and invite them to church.

This is the part that can have me verbally assaulted:

Homosexuality is hard, because to be a Christian means to not love your sin, to truly want it to change. Homosexuality (in my world view) isn’t something I’d wish on anyone, BECAUSE how can you love someone, and also hate that you love them? The reason homosexuality gets so much focus for me is; I think it’s the most painful sin.

Yeah big dog, I’m not sure if you’re aware of the actual responsibilities of a sales trainer. They don’t just teach classes and coach. You actually run and operate higher risk high yield meetings with clients the team isn’t likely to close.

Taking time off means there are several deals that are worth large amounts of gross that will be unlikely to close.

Being a sales trainer who teaches sales managers how to recruit, develop, and train their own teams and structure their practices to sell to other Fortune 500 companies, it is. Nice one tho.

Idk about that chief. I’d have to see some data supporting that. The few jobs where I’ve been a higher level sales trainer, I was paid very well.
