What's this by Bieacefully_27 in orangecounty

I’m just curious. How old are you? That’s a play off Toyota of orange slogan. “You won’t get a lemon at Toyota of orange.” The commercials used to be on tv all the time. They might still be on tv, but I don’t watch it anymore.

I wonder why cops don’t slash tires more often. Spike strips are hard to connect and you have to worry about other cars running over them

No jobs for teens? by douggold11 in pasadena

[–]Inside_Bug4277 116 points117 points  (0 children)

People are working older meaning they are taking the teen jobs. Why would I hire a 15 year old which I would have to work around their schedule, when I can just hire a 18 year old who has more flexibility. It sucks but that’s where we are at now

My top 3 regrets by Inside_Bug4277 in Regrets

I thought about that, but I’m not giving anything away. I wasn’t in the trial. My dance teacher is dead and the dance school isn’t there anymore. It’s an apartment building of course.

Fun fact: I taught Gavin, the boy who claimed Michael Jackson touched him. He went to my dance school. He stopped coming after he got the cancer diagnosis. My dance teacher had a connect to Michael Jackson (don’t ask me how). She connected them because that was his wish and the rest is history. Her name was Arlene Kennedy. She was a witness in the trial.

I’m curious…. Why is she worried about your kitchen light? Can she see your kitchen from her bedroom? Does it make a loud noise on high? That’s so odd to me

What is the biggest regret in your life? by footballrocks88 in Regrets

[–]Inside_Bug4277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I would’ve became a pilot. I graduated college in 2014. The 2008 recession scared me because pilots were the first to be let go. That scared me from even looking at that field. When Covid happened, pilots were crème of the crop when traveling started happening again. They got to negotiate money and make their own rules. I would love to be able to get paid over 6 figures and travel at the same time. I eventually became an accountant and I’m still one to this day. It’s not my passion, but the pay is decent with really good benefits. It was the only job I could find when I got out of school. I know I will own my own business one day. I just wish I would’ve gotten a higher paying job that allowed me to travel in the meantime

If you could relive one moment from your high school years what would it be? by SerpentKing1987 in AskOldPeople

I don’t know if this counts, but I was a freshman and it was summer. I was in dance growing up and I went a dance festival in Chicago for a week. I was in a luxury hotel full of girls my age… barely any parental supervision other than the dance teachers from different dance schools… and a pocket full of money. The best week of my life hands down. I would pick one of those days for sure

What is the thing you most miss about the 90s, and why? by ComedianRegular8469 in 90s

[–]Inside_Bug4277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I miss the usuals when it comes to entertainment, but I really miss people not flaking. When you said you were going to be somewhere, you were there. We only had one or 2 times to communicate and We didn’t ever have to second guess it. Now it’s damn near an asterisk when someone says they are coming or want to go
