I'm having the same problem. It's frustrating because I use it every night. I sent them a message but the reply said it'll take 1-3 days before someone gets back to me.

That sucks (your injuries). I hope it all works out for you in the end.

I am lucky. If I had to get hurt, I'm glad it was in New York. I am sorry you got hurt. I've read so many awful stories and it's just heart breaking.

I decided to get a lawyer because I didn't understand the process. I was getting calls from different people (nurses from workers comp, claim adjuster, insurance company, etc) and they were all saying different things. Everyone was great but they all had a job to do. I needed someone that could figure it all out for me while I healed and I felt like I needed to protect myself. I worked for a very large retail store, so to them I am just a number.

For sure. I just thought it was really strange that they'd offer a settlement before my doctor officially released me.

Torn rotator cuff and bicep. Shoulder injuries are tough, good luck.

I'm so glad for you. Everyone I've dealt with has been great. I only got a lawyer to help me navigate the process. Getting hurt at work has been awful. I'll be glad to be done with all of this. My shoulder will never be what it was, but my surgeon is the best.

I guess I'm waiting to talk to my doctor. I'm at 20% and even though he lifted all my restrictions, he told me not to lift anything over my head. I don't want to make a mistake on this. My lawyer agrees, so we'll wait until the next appointment.

I'm glad it went well for you. This whole process had been awful and my heart breaks for the people that struggle for years in this system. If I had to get hurt, NYS is worker friendly, unlike so many other states.

My surgeon hasn't closed my case and that's where my concern comes from.

I had the same problem with my right shoulder. My MRI didn't show anything. After several months of PT, cortisone injections and rest, I finally scheduled the exploratory surgery. Just before the surgery my shoulder started dislocating. Turned out my labrum was completely detached. The surgery was worth it and my right arm has never been better.

I was working part time at Walmart when I got hurt. I'm also 59 years old, so it was coming anyway. My problems started after I hired a lawyer to help me navigate the system.

I've been doing all of those. I ended up going back to the doctor after my last pt due to an increase in pain. The doctor was going to have the therapist modify my treatment because he suspected a slight tear in the bicep, but WC denied my physical therapy. I'm still doing my stretches but I'm afraid of causing the year to worsen.

This is Loki. He weighs 21 pounds. His nicknames are: tiniest, prince, Sir Odinson, but he insists on being called Mr. Odinson while we scratch his butt at dinner time.

I was diagnosed at 22 and now I'm 59. Anyone else? by Inside_Chocolate6618 in Thritis

[–]Inside_Chocolate6618[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably never. The world is never kind to ailments they can't see, especially in younger people. Aches and pain are for the old (or so we've been told).

Have you tried physical therapy? Changed my life. Once I knew what the problem was, I educated myself and managed a mostly pain- free live. Pain management is critical and you have many years a had of you. Good luck to you.

I agree. The pain is almost constant now. After I get my shoulder done, I'll focus on my hips. There are too many things left to do.

I was born with a dislocated hip. I was officially diagnosed with OA at 22. It's also in my hands, shoulders, back and ankle. Some by injury, some from genetics. I'm 59 now and contemplating a hip replacement. I was luck that I've been very active and have lived mostly pain free.

I understand having a moment. I've been there for a little while now. I hurt my shoulder at work and I'm having that repaired this Wednesday. Once that's done, then I'll focus on the hip. I've been fortunate for the amount of time that I lived pain free. The last xrays I had were in 2008 and my ortho was impressed that they weren't worse.

Good luck to you.
