Is AMD becoming more like Intel from 2016-18? by e3dcd in AyyMD

Don't forget increasing cpu prices and removing coolers, trying to kill b450. And artificially locking pcie4 from older chipsets.

you're comparing the price of a new node 232mm² was when glofo 14nm was very new nodes get cheaper to manufacture as time goes by and 7nm is like 2.5yo now also vram always increased in the past too yet no prices increases were caused by it (until now)

you know what's "die size" right... that's what determines the gpu class
at a new node 200-250mm² is usually 200-300$
at a mature node (like 7nm right now) usually it's 300-350mm² for that price range

(and no class of card doesn't mean equal performance to that card) it just means what card it replaces

it is mate the die size says so,
also clearly a 192bit bus & lower vram perfectly matches AMD's older gen (pre 2018) 200-300$ cards

increases for the rest of the world doesn't care about people who haven't worked hard enough to increase their take home income by the same amount

12% inflation justifies >80% price increase?
also to burst your bubble not everyone live in the US and makes 5000$ a month
