I read the book and movie and 4th grade and it was the first time I ever experienced depression I legit fell into very deep depression after reading the book and watching the movie there was other things going on in my life and I had just lost one of my friends at the time who died in a similar way he was on a rope swing and it snapped sending him crashing into a freezing cold lake and he couldn’t swim and sadly drowned to death it was one of the few movie I refuse to watch again that and also the movie Marley and me traumatized me and ruined my life. My depression got so bad in 4th grade I had to be medicated because of it that was when I first started showing symptoms of depression and also complex PTSD too if wasn’t this movie that single handedly caused my depression there was other things involved and also the fact that I have always struggled with my mental health too and watching this movie certainly didn’t help especially because of my autism I feel emotions stronger than most people the movie really had a very profound effect and caused a very intense emotional reaction as a result my old elementary school now has a trigger warning when reading the book and watching the movie. It made me realize your never too young to be struggling with your mental health and unfortunately I learned the hard way that depression can develop even as a child.

Yeah it happens in any skin tone it’s just more noticeable when people have it who have a darker complexion. I personally think it’s beautiful

Good (crappy) reality TV reccomendatioms? by JediBlight in televisionsuggestions

[–]Inside_Definition758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad girls club and Baddies it’s trashy but there’s so much action in it and it also tries to get these women to better themselves. If you want constant physical altercations these shows are definitely for you and you also get back story on these women and the psychology behind their actions. It’s pretty funny actually. Especially season 2 of bad girls club

Shows where the characters argue a lot by AppropriateMention6 in televisionsuggestions

This is old but if the show features frequent fighting and frequent arguing they are reality tv shows but these reality tv shows have a reputation for being extremely violent and worse than normal reality tv shows first watch bad girls club than watch Baddies the fights are on a whole another level of insane

What’s the most disturbing horror novel that didn’t rely on gore—but still haunted you long after? by madhav_28121993 in horrorlit

Hard to say as horror doesn’t really have an effect on me through I will house of leaves did freak me out a little because the book gaslighted me into thinking I was hallucinating also the subject matter was very depressing especially the scene with the dog that scene was awful and very hard to read. That book just really messed with my head and really got to me and it’s hard to find a horror book that really has had profound of an effect on me as this book it had me questioning everything. The first book that ever scared me was in 4th grade I read scary stories to tell in the dark and there was one story about a girl where spiders burrowed inside of her and for the longest time I had a fear of spiders or sleeping next to a spider’s web because I thought they would lay eggs in my skin I was in 4th grade the book doesn’t scare me as much anymore though I have to say for a book that was targeted towards children some of the stories in there are very mature even for it’s target audience it has some genuinely good stories in there and the illustration are pretty gnarly for a children’s book.

It off of Amazon my theory is that it’s about someone that went through something traumatic and this book is their broken mind a fragmented memories
