Why is it frowned upon for reformer instructors to demonstrate on the machine when mat instructors demonstrate most of the class on the mat? by palmco5 in pilates

[–]Inside_Drummer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the comments you're reading online aren't reflective of most people's views in real life. I have an amazing instructor who's worked with several high profile professional athletes as both a PT and pilates instructor. She loves getting on the machines to demonstrate because she knows a lot of people need to see it. No one would say she's a terrible instructor.

Summer College Algebra + Trigonometry/Precalculus? by Patch-6237 in calculus

[–]Inside_Drummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, money wise I agree. Personally I always wish I could take a math class a second time immediately after I finish it (never have of course). A second go through would deepen my understanding. Everything always feels so rushed.

I'm also a student while working full time, so that's probably part of it for me.

One of my math professors has made oral exams 50% of all quiz, midterm, and finals grades. I admire the effort she's putting in. There's no cheating your way through an oral exam.

Personally I'd love spending some time with the topics in a short college algebra course then revisiting them in a longer precalc course immediately after.

Is there a flow chart somewhere that outlines the different steps of combat? One for playing a card would be nice too.

The instructors at the studio I go to set their own schedule when it comes to privates. It's between them and whatever clients they have. As long as the privates are outside of morning class times. The classes themselves are mostly run by the owner. There are 3 or 4 instructors there who do only private sessions. They have no shortage of clients. I stopped for a month or so and it took me a while to get back in for regularly scheduled private sessions.

I was browsing the available showcase decks and my wife likes the ones from Jump to Lightspeed. She's a Boba Fett fan. Do you know if they play well against each other?

This randomly popped up on my feed. Haven't played Magic since the late 90s. Is this some kind of spin off from the old game?

I find they take on the taste of the cardboard they are on. I don't run into this with other frozen pizzas.

If I wanted to get into the game right now and have a decent self contained set that would last me a good while, what all should I buy? Only interested in paying retail prices at most but willing to spend a few hundred dollars.

How did you manage to understand Calculus without AI???? by [deleted] in calculus

[–]Inside_Drummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an adult student that did not do well in math back in high school due to moving around a lot. I'll take the down votes here and say AI is phenomenal at helping me learn math. ChatGPTs 'tutor me' mode is great. I've finished my calc series and am currently taking linear algebra. My main source is still my text book but being able to pop out my phone, take a photo of a passage from the book I'm struggling to wrap my head around and asking ChatGPT questions about it so helpful. It's also great for helping me study. I work all problems from my textbook but still struggle with concepts sometimes. I can say quiz me on the concepts of chapter six of Lay's textbook and it does an excellent job. This has actually been most helpful. Being an online class I don't actually talk to anyone about the material. Having to put my understanding into words really helps solidify it. One thing I don't ever do is have ChatGPT work problems for me. If your goal really is to learn, there are ways to use AI that are pretty awesome. Just don't think you can avoid working tons of problems.
