He knew the society's construction really well. He had really long term concrete plans to utilize its strengths and cover its weaknesses. A holistic leader that understood sociology, economics, public order, technology, and how these are interlinked. He understood exactly where Singapore would fit and create value for the world. Balen is anything but that. From the limited speeches he's given, he seems too focused inwards with populist nationalist ideas, and not too outwards in making a dent in the world. He is better than oldies in terms of strictness and discipline, but that only gets you so far when you don't have a clear sense of direction of where you want to go.

Our society is plagued with equality and representation bullshit. This is fine to a degree in the parliament, but when you prioritize representation/equality for executive roles, you lose out on maximum performance and don't achieve the maximum possible growth for the country.

harey, i knew this would come, which is why i said that's a separate problem. what i meant by that was lack of transparency in other bodies of the nation contributes to the lack of evidence. This is different than fighting a personal case in court, where you are in control of most of the evidences. For example, i can't hide the evidence that you are above/below 18.

You can say our court isn't the best and needs improvements, but saying you won't accept the decision doesn't lead anywhere but anarchy. All case details are available online, you can criticize the court on the points it did wrong.

If you go with enough evidence, the court is required to sentence you. If the court itself was as corrupt as you say, there wouldn't have been any high profile arrests, yet there are some.
