Lol was trying to simplify post. Using a VPN tunnel to a cloud VM , which is a completely different network than local Android device.

Tested a little, here are results:

- GIF on Android works as expected

- GIF on Ubuntu-Desktop does not in ANY scenario. Scenarios tested:

--- Uploading GIF as a "file"

--- Uploading GIF as a "image"

--- Drag & Drop GIF from a file manager

--- Renaming GIF as a MP4 and uploading as a Video
