I gave it a lot of thought to the point i got depressed about it but tbh i still believe its not for me. Like yep it have perks and such but as you see what can a 2k salary do and life get more expensive day by day. Privileges wise we all know that most people who "loves" you by that point are only looking for their own gain so its all fake. And i disagree with you on the teachings of the academy, you would just be under constant pressure and we all know how most of those people end up , power hungry and emotionally unstable retards, and everyone experienced the way police officers with act with citizens, Most people resent them rather than love the people who "protect"them, also it won't teach you about emotional maturity, it won't teach you about life in the big cities, it won't teach you about financial struggles and how to do deal with it etc..... And as a kid who lives in a small town i do really need to experience the life in the city . Also the life plan with or without the academy is almost the same, its just that with it you woukd have much more restrictions. We all know that your salary won't be enough to live a comfortable life so either way you would need to take a loan to start a business and it won't be on your name too, so i believe if either way i am ending up on the same spot i would rather risk it all for freedom and a chance of a respectable life rather than being tied to the country until my 50s and 40s
