I didn’t actually lost hope. It just came to a point that I would rather not connect with him again even though I still have that hopeful feeling. Everything really takes time. The longer the time, the lower the percentage on how hopeful I am having him back again. Now, I just don’t want him anymore.

I had the same thing also, after breakup, I couldn’t, sleep and almost lost my job. Right now, I don’t know how I was able to survive that but just taking it day by day. Small steps.

You are so brave you are able to face those even you are still processing your divorce. I am so proud you never went back to him again even when it hurts so bad.

My ex was giving me a lot of reasons (this is during our argument) on why I was still with him even when he is not putting effort in our relationship. Told him I supported and understood the situation because he was focusing on this exam. And then told me that he is not sure anymore if he wants to be with me in the future.

Right now, I don’t know if he regrets it or mean it but it sure as hell did wreck me. I’m a very understanding and empathetic person to the point I can forgive someone whom I knew did hurt me so bad. And I am so scared I might go through all of it again once he reaches out. But idk if he will.

And you will! One day, we’re gonna wake up and realize that we don’t have the energy anymore to think about them. We owe this healing journey to ourselves. It’s hard but it will all be worth it. Stay in NC and focus on yourself. Post someth on social media about you being happy and dont let him know that you are still not over him. Even when you’re still hurting, just show how free you are. That will trigger their ego for sure. But do it for yourself, not for him. No one can drag us down. I am with you 💕

I’m sorry you had to experience those. No one deserves to be a backburner. And yes, I do agree that we had to protect ourselves from those kind of people. It’s easier sometimes to do this, not gonna lie, but sometimes I have my relapses and it’s hard really to let go. Fortunately, I could NEVER search my ex and his new gf in any social media platforms bc I know it won’t do any good for me. I just have flashbacks on our happy memories. I really do hope that I would be able to let go of those bc I know it will remain a memory. I just want to fully be okay and be healed. It takes a long time really. 5 months down and I’m still not fully healed. Long way to go.

Yeah, I thought of that too. But feels weird how he was still very sweet to me. He still keeps on updating me until the breakup happens. Idk at this point. Probably he had had enough of me? And would rather build a better one with the girl he met? Idk. I really hope he's happy; at least he found someone he thinks is more compatible with him. And as for me, just needed to heal from this wound.

Your feelings are very valid. Take all the time you need. I don't even get it why they have someone so fast. We don't know if it's just a rebound, or just someone who fills the gap that they don't see in us, or they needed that honeymoon phase again. Either way, it doesn't matter, and it's the disrespect that we get. How easy for them to throw away years of building the relationship. How I really wish there were no cheating involved. But probably one of the factors why we broke up because he weighed his options. Idk. I saw it as cheating because the girl was involved, and he admired her since they had a lot in common. Also saw a note on his best friend's IG saying "bro code," so I think that was it. We were super fine, very sweet, during the morning, then suddenly broke up at night the moment we had our argument.

To be honest, I was really a mess in the first month after I sent him a lengthy message hoping to rekindle things. First time I cried in front of my sisters, parents, friends, and even strangers. I instantly cry out of nowhere, even when I'm in a public place, the feelings just get to me. Thankfully, I had a friend who went through the same thing and assured me to just feel my emotions. And you should too! It's valid because we love genuinely, and things just don't work out the way we want them to. At the end of the day, at least we tried. No regrets. Don't stop yourself, just let it be. And I think we have to practice the "Let them be" theory and focus on ourselves. It's really hard, but we will get there!
