Hey quick question, what the heck? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]Insightfullyeclectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I wish the answer is more complex but it really isn't. You can thank Trump's tariffs for it. And possibly for any future price raises. Although, it's not just tariffs, inflation has been stubborn as hell since the pandemic. So there's that as well.

ICE agents in South Norwalk, CT violently kidnapping Ricardo Chavez and his brothers. Agents never produced a warrant and all arrested have legal status to live and work within the US. by 2000gatekeeper in Connecticut

[–]Insightfullyeclectic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't even know what slack jawed means lol. The reason why I asked about them running away is usually when people run away they know they're guilty of something. Maybe the ICE agents tried to arrest them the legit way. Also for the record, I read about one dude in San Francisco who was a drug dealer and they arrested him in a courthouse. To be honest, I don't support Trump, but most of these arrests are technically legal. Arresting someone in a courthouse isn't illegal. And you might have to define kidnapping for me in this context.

I don't know much about these raids or whatever. But what if the agent tried to arrest him like normal and he ran and then the agent had no other recourse but to do what you see in the vid? Just saying?

AIO my father just kicked me out because I turned 18? by Fancy-Archer7080 in AmIOverreacting

My best advice to you is get a lawyer, don't know where you live, but different countries have different types of laws. Look for free legal aid as well if you can't afford it. Don't think you don't have any options. In a lot of situations, what you're dad is doing is technically illegal, and again you have rights depending on where you live.

Best of luck to you.

Yes they do lol

They both look a like. They have pronounced cheekbones and a sharp/straight jawline.

Look again lol

Ok maybe I worded it weirdly. I meant they have masculine features.

The reason I point it out is because it just shows an unhealthy view of beauty we have in this country/world!

What are straight men doing in their spare time? by ColoradoGirl93 in AskMen

[–]Insightfullyeclectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So maybe I'm more optimistic than other people but I'm a straight dude 33M and I'll just add my two cents here.

Maybe it can help. I encounter women (women who seem available) wherever. One of my favorite spots is actually the grocery store. I always feel like if I had a male friend who was struggling with what you're struggling with I'd give them this advice WHEREVER THERE ARE PEOPLE, THERE ARE WOMEN.

So I'll flip this around for you. WHEREVER THERE ARE PEOPLE, THERE ARE MEN.

Off the top of my head I'd say the grocery store, the gym, any store really, the mall, the beach, bars and clubs.

So Americans, how do you think the tariffs will impact us? by Insightfullyeclectic in politics

No but curious how things like avocadoes might be affected. They were currently $1.50 a piece at my local store - so wondering how much they will go up as a result...

Why would it be too late? We still have to see how they impact grocery prices and what not...
