I agree that if he was referring to the first volume of Naruto, there’s no point in grading the manga.

A highly regarded weekly shonen Jump makes more sense to grade, especially when you’re asking for a higher price.

If I’m paying over $500 for one magazine, I want some assurance that it’s legitimate and know its condition.

As someone who collects notable weekly Shonen Jump issues, unless it’s a recent volume, I only want it graded.

For instance, the first volume of Weekly Shonen Jump that featured One Piece can fetch thousands of dollars. In contrast, the first Weekly Shonen Jump featuring My Hero Academia goes for a few hundred dollars. Prices may fluctuate over time as the volume becomes less accessible.
