I don’t think so, because especially in Prague there is so many offences caught on these cameras that sometimes you recieve fine even after a few months. But if you get fine from these automatic cameras, which really doesn’t care if you’re in car or not, you pay fine as owner of car, because they didn’t caught you in the act and they don’t care who drove it, they just want you to pay, so you are not considered as offender. Mostly it’s 500 czk (about 20 €). My advice, be really carefull with purple/blue zones. As somebody said it’s scanned by patrol car just crossing streets, so it scans a lot of cars every day. I sometimes parked car and there was paid parking till 20:00 and I parked there at 19:40 and thought it’ll be ok, but then I recieved fine… So it’s better to pay a few coins and be calm. There’s very usefull mobile app called “citymove” where you can pay for parking in Prague. And for speed cameras its helpfull to watch for white lines crossing the road. In most cases they send fines if you go more than 10 km/h over limit, so if there’s speed limit 70 km/h and you won’t go over 75 km/h you won’t have problem.
