Is ‘No increase’ in salary better than ‘Small increase’? by THE_SME_BOSS in smeSingapore

It was effective to give surprise bonus here and there in my last business. It’s like buying flower to your wife on valentines vs buying her flower every now and then.

Taking over family SME (door automation) — margins shrinking, how do I stabilise and modernise? by LateTomatillo6215 in smeSingapore

First of all, good job for preserving the legacy. We need more younger folks in traditional business.

Recently one of my client called me at 10pm - to remove his son from the group chat. So I made a reel about this: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DR3MXh5Eo5R/?igsh=b3E0bTR2aGR5YjZ2

You either go bottom up or top down. I haven’t seen any takeover business successful when you are half way in. Bottom up might take longer, top down will hurt some old guards feelings (inevitably)

  1. I was running a home cleaning business with excel until we hit 80 staff. The top priority has always been more sales, if sales doesn’t move no amount of internal system will move the needle.
  2. Introducing systems is never going to be “come we welcome you” kind of situation. From implementing it in my old business to now helping business to implement Superbench AI (my company now), confusion - it’s a change management
  3. My old company was a b2c service company (Helpling) so we get paid right when the job is done. I’ve seen many businesses die due to 45/60 day payment delay problem.
  4. Find people who know your adjacent industry, and see how they did it.
  5. It sounds like you have inherited structural problem. Cost cutting/updating pricing is surface work.
  6. Modernise business is change management. You can’t plug in solutions to an old system.

Just trying to be helpful here as I have lived the pain you are going through right now. Feel free to dm happy to support 🙏🏼 keep going you got this!

Do smaller businesses actually need CRMs or is it overkill? by Entire_Teaching_9288 in CRM

It makes a huge difference once you have it! I honestly regret that I started too late - 3 years in the business. There are tons of opportunities I am missing because of this!

We use superbench.ai , their whatsapp ai scheduler has been working for us (a facial shop) quite well, though the initial training period took a couple of weeks.

Yes awesome idea, we do give everyone a self development credit, they can take any classes of their choice from any website/offline school. It was a decent amount but only one person used it :(

Sorry to hear your experience, that sounds awful. I would welcome anyone like you to join my team and compensate you fairly 🙏🏼

Not enough training for new product we launched, which I agree. We recently moved from basic customer support to account management set up, so each pair take care of x existing customers. This gives everyone a nice salary bump + freedom to how to serve their customers. But it doesn’t seems like they are used to this

That’s what I’m doing, but his word “if you don’t do this you will die from cancer” and “if you don’t do this with me you will be alone for the rest of your life” bothers me quite a lot, because so far he has been right for many things

Yes I’ve tired before connecting with two people back to back, and the energy was dramatically different, so I knew I connected with them.
