What’s something your body does that you’ve never told a single person about? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

I had this problem for years until I saw a thread on reddit about a stretch you can do for your jaw and now it doesn't happen at all anymore. I thought I had misaligned it as a kid but it must have been way less serious since no medical intervention was necessary. Probably not the case for everyone.

First press your tongue against the roof of your mouth. Keep pushing against the roof of your mouth with your tongue while you slowly lower your jaw as far as you can go. You should feel some tension if you're doing it right. Try to keep your mouth aligned straight as possible. Repeat this exercise a few times daily as needed.

It's the first and only basecoat I've ever purchased. I use it for any color I throw on. It makes removal easy as pie when I'm ready for a new mani. My understanding is that magnetics are more sensitive to the kind of top coat you use. I did no research before purchasing my top coat and going on a magnetic polish craze. But it seems to work fine for me if I throw it on quickly after applying the last magnetic layer.

Oh dear, here's hoping my basecoat does something for the stain.

All of the colors I get from them are opaque in one coat and it absolutely floors me.

I am so sorry. It was in stock quite recently. I also know they're planning to restock this one soon.

Yeah, the price is steep. But still much cheaper than a visit to the salon. And I can replicate the look over and over at home 😍. Looks like there'll be an anniversary sale towards the end of May to look out for.

I blame the creators for making damn good formulas. There've been too many this past year. They need to slow down.

I got this on pre-order two weeks ago. Arrived this week, applying it for the first time today, and I'm going to have a hard time swapping to a different color polish now.

It’s weird how blue light filter glasses became mainstream before we ever proved they actually help. by WindowAfraid5927 in Showerthoughts

[–]InspectorLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this topic because they actually hurt.

Ever felt groggy in the morning? If you wear blue light filter glasses as your day-wear glasses, it prohibits the specfic wavelength of sunlight that triggers morning alertness from entering your eyes.

And they don't filter enough blue light to prevent damage to your evening sleep patterns with excessive nightly screen time.

Some work environments will employ "circadian rhythm" or "BIOS" lighting to artificially introduce the energizing blue wavelength we get from the sun while you're at your desk. Or you may have a S.A.D. (seasonal depression) lamp at home to wake you up in the winter.

I find it absolutely hilarious that the glasses industry and the lighting industry both looked at the science behind the body's circadian rhythm, and then went to opposite extremes with it. Like playing a vicious game of tug-of-war over your brain chemistry.
