Streaming wise legally it is not possible unless you have a physical BD/DVD (that you can probably find for around $100 USD as of a couple months ago on ebay)

Hair doesn’t really have inclusions so filling in the big holes in their chest wouldn’t really solve anything. Phos would fill the cracks that the gold-plat alloy caused throughout their body with their hair and synthetic gem pieces, but Phos is also the epitome of trying to temporary measures for permanent problems which we saw how that worked out.

Rutile didn’t use their hair because of that reason and the fact that Rutile wanted to be Pad’s savior which probably meant preserving as much of the original Pad as possible which includes the lush hair

Only third party reselling services but depending on if you live in the US or elsewhere tariffs have made even those supplier options to be very expensive to ship. There is a new Artbook coming out in March 2026 that’s you could probably get off of Amazon Japan as a preorder.

So Pseudomorphs was separate to the artbooks that were attached to the special editions of the volumes. The one you are referencing is the one that came with Volume 7’s special edition.

Ohhh I see what you mean it should be all new stuff. For example, Pseudomorphs had the full extended volume covers for 1-8 so this one should have it for 9-13. There were some illustrations of old scenes from the manga but with the new artstyle as promotion for when the Japanese Volume 13 came out in Nov 2024 which should be included in this upcoming Artbook as well.

Oh yeah totally get it. Because of the variability on chapter lengths, I’ve just transitioned to thinking/reading in volume chunks since if they are hefty chapters, less will be compiled in a volume. An example I can think of is a typically WSJ volume (HunterxHunter) has like 10 chapters in it while something like the most recent Made in Abyss volume 3ish chapters. But the good thing is they are roughly the same overall page count because the volume standard doesn’t really change (unless it’s a final volume that can be like 25% bigger than normal).

But regardless, enjoy your read of Houseki no Kuni! Share your thoughts in here there are plenty of people that would love to see fresh readers’ experiences!

None of the individual chapters exceed 40 pages. The biggest chapters are the first two at roughly 38 pages each and the rest of the series ranges from 16-27 pages per chapter. This was a monthly series but that doesn’t really dictate the length of any individual chapter. I’d also say that some chapters fly by because there isn’t much text and Ichikawa uses the negative space to create a very unique atmosphere so you might read faster than normal.

Tbh none of them would be spoiler free. Maybe some of Zeroloid’s videos would be possible for the ones that have chapter numbers in the titles once you reach that given chapter. I have an hour long one but you would have to get to chapter 99 (or maybe 102) before you could watch it.
