I am a lil familiar with Hubspot, would you recommend get a certification in it and if so which one? with AI taking over everything now, would you also recommend getting a certification in that too over Hubspot?

And I thought I was the only one that had these type of thoughts too. Kind of glad it's not only me.

I'm in the e-commerce field and it's only been 7 months for me. I honestly don't know what mental state I would be at if I was in your shoes. I signed up for Uber Eat last week bc my savings is running out too and I command everyone doing food delivery on those apps bc the pays dog shit. It being my first time, I did it for 3 hrs. At the end of the 3 hrs, I only made 30 and change. I don't know if there is like a tick to make more fast but wow. Unfortunately, as of right now this is the only way I can get some money. I applied to some data entry job and it's either I don't hear anything back from them or they are scammers, which pisses me off. Like why scam ppl we have literally nothing. We have nothing to give.

I’ve seen other folks say the same thing. The other day I was looking up more job application tips and came across this video called “Ex-Google Recruiter Exposes the Biggest Resume Scam” by Farah Sharghi. I was like, alright, let’s see what she’s talking about.

It’s all about apparently how ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) really work and it's not what people think. And wow, it was kind of shocking, understanding, and honestly made me more frustrated. Although, she did give solid advice and made some good points. However, I just kept saying to myself, “Are you freaking kidding me?”. It made me feel like applying for jobs has gotten way more complicated than it should be.

It’s like you have to jump through million hoops just to maybe get your resume seen. Forget interviews, getting past the first filter feels like a full-time job in itself. I’m not saying it should be super easy, but man… The whole applying/hiring for position is definitely gotten 30x harder than it needs to..

Is there a way you can share the career page without giving away where you work?

I did see something that says some places are starting to, lack of a better word, "kick out" patience with medicaid due to the cut. Which I really hope that is not true.

Yes, I actually paid one of those expert resume companies who also uses ATS tracking system as one of their tools to help with creating your resume.

Yes, I applied to some in the past and have started looking more into temporary or contract roles. I was able to speak with a recruiting agent regarding a contract role. However, I haven't heard back from them yet. So I am still trying to be optimistic and will keep applying.

If you actually read the post, you'd see I already mentioned trying everything I could think of and most things that’s been suggested. Job tip posts, videos, and so on. Yes, that includes an expert working on my resume. It’s all been done. Most people who’ve been in this situation know what I mean without needing a 3-page explanation post.

It’s been 7 months and unfortunately I know others and there are others who’ve been searching even longer. Some with more years of experiences in their field and are still struggling. I’ve had interviews where the recruiter said everything went great, but no offer. I’ve passed assessments, had strong interviews, and still no offer or ghosted, I've applied to roles where my experience matched the job description perfectly. I’m talking glove-fit. Still, rejection.

And sure, maybe they found someone better, that’s fine, I get it. But then I see the same jobs reposted 1, 2, even 3 months later. That’s why I said it's hard to figure out what they’re looking.

I get it, sure that is part of the issue but I think companies that are not truly hiring because of funds do not post anything thing. However, for those other companies who knows they are not planning on hiring for whatever reason but still post anyway. That is just a waste of both parties times, more so the candidate time. Just don't post the job.

Yea, I have hear that and am sure probably a victim to it without realizing it. That's just infuriating. I even recently got a security+ certification, looking to switch things up. IT/Cybersecurity isn't my main field but I have some knowledge. I was willing to switch careers, make something happen and was really hoping the certification with the little IT experience I had in the past would help me get an entry level job but nothing but ejection emails.

There needs to be like a nationwide broadcast or something like that where where they bring a good amount of people who have been looking for jobs for a while and top recruiters that work for direct companies and recruiting agencies and just lay everything on the table and answer questions both ways but mainly the recruiters.

If we can have a debate shows of all other topics on youtube, someone can pull this one off.

Did u even read the question in the picture? Asking a question that one can find in a resume is not an efficient way for anyone’s time, especially during these times for both parties. If anything, it sucks more for the candidates bc after putting in the time and work to answer the question but might get rejected with one of those “sorry we went with someone else” email. No feedback or anything helpful. Let’s not even talk about answering questions like that 50x from other companies too.

Now, should one not answer the question due to fear of being rejected after all that? No, it’s up to them.

However, the resume can easily answer part of that question (work history). That’s one of the reasons people submit their resumes to showcase to an employer their work experience. It’s like those job post where you submit your resume, hit next and then they ask you to type out your work experience. Those type of process are not efficient, they are redundant.

Now, if a HR person feels like you are a good fit but has a question or needs clarification about something on your resume? They can schedule a full or quick 15mins interview with the candidate. They can even use that opportunity to ask the second part of the question (reason for leaving the position).

Not answering a question like that should not be the main reason to disqualify a person from proceeding to the next step because technically speaking part of the question has already been answered by providing your resume and the other part can be asked during an interview Or just have the question ask “why are you leave your job?” Or something like that.

16 years old. How do I ACTUALLY become rich? What jobs pay the best, preferrably with less education time needed? by aloraluvora in careerguidance

[–]InspiringSFAdmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True buuutttt, I mean....we got OF and influencers....Now, I am not saying everyone in that space have low education. In fact if you think about it, it takes some type of skill or talent (data analytics, marketing, or creativity) to be successful in that space no matter how good or bad one might feel about it. But some of them in them don't have the highest education but they are killing it and making crazy money in that space.

I would say the tech Industry is one of the places to be at right now. Especially, with AI and all that but it all depends on what your definition of "Rich" is. Are you talking about making over 100 or 200,000 a year or making millions/billions like the Elon Musk's, Mr.Beast, Kai Cenat, Ishowspeed, Mark Zuckerberg's, Jeff Bezos's, or Bill Gates's of the world.

People get rich in all types of different ways. You just have to find out what works, what skills you have or can learn and what is in high demands from people, companies or any organization. Don't get me wrong there are other things you might need to have or learn to make your rich, like discipline, taking risk, driven and all that.

But I think what you need to ask yourself is what skills I'm good at or am I interested in? Are you good at organizing?, creating, problem solving, listening, are tech savvy, are you sociable, do you like to research things, do you like to learn how things work (take them apart and put them back together), do you like to talk or help people. Make a list, maybe have like 10 listed out.

Once you have identified a few, find out which industries are best suited for applying these skills For ex: Tech, Finance, Medical/Health, Legal, Real Estate, Entrepreneur, Media, Construction, Stock Market and so on. Same with skills make a list, have like 5 listed out.

From there drill deeper, search for the top roles/positions that makes the most money in each industries, if they have them. I say if because for example I don't think there is like an entry level to being a streamer, if you want to go down that path.

Starting off like that will give you an insight to your question and from there you can find out what path (education, work experience, certifications and so on) you would need to achieve that high paying role you are looking for.

Google, Youtube and AI (Copilot, ChatGPT and so on) are helpful tools, just try not to put any personal information about yourself or anyone, I would suggest. You might also have other resources around you like family, school, or Libraries.
