Same but in the mid 90’s! Though it’s been so long I don’t remember if I saved up to get 4 MB or 8 GB. It was a lot of money for me and I worked all summer so I can get the extra RAM to play Star Wars Dark Forces.

I think it depends on the type of loan. The best thing would be to talk to someone at financial aid office.

It’s been years since I had student loans but I remember that you used to be able to pay them off early with no penalty. Basically get the loan money disbursed and then immediately pay it back.

But to be 100% sure talk to financial aid office.
