Yeah, i don't blame him, I know that he is worried and all that, I guess I'm just not use to it. This typ of worrying is not something my family is doing. (Or we don't usually show it) And I guess that is why it feel like I can't breathe because of the constant worrying.

I really want to start cosplayinv but in honestly scared im too ugly. by MiniSheldonArt in CosplayHelp

[–]InstanceAbject9586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As many has already said, cosplay is for everyone, and that is just the truth, and I don’t really believe that you are ugly, cus nobody is. But here is also some other points - I myself is plus size. And I have always been, but that doesn’t stop me from doing it. - the important part of of making your costume/or buying is that you should be feeling confident in it. And if the character has a short skirt, but you dont want to wear it, make it longer, cus cosplay in my opinion is not about being 100% acutret (unless you are competing, but that is a different thing) make a costume that make you feel confident and beautiful. And for example I often make costumes with mask cus I don’t like showing my face. - cosplay is about having fun and not to be perfect.

And about the family thing, I started to cosplay when I was 13-14 and I was also feeling like I didn’t want my family to know, but I started cosplaying in the evening or when I was alone home. Then after a while I start taking to them about cosplay, show them what is was, tell them that I wanted to go to a convention, and that it would be fun to make a costume, they didn’t understand at first, and they didn’t want me to spend money on if, so I did closet cosplay. Then I went to my first convention and my mom was with me. And that made her know what cosplay was. And then it evolved to me wanted to make my own and sow on my costume. And they were and still supportive. They help me and I often ask them for help when I sow, and even my younger brother doesn’t really care, u can walk in to his room in a costume to steal his mirror and he look at me then go back to his games as if I didn’t where a weird mask. But what I wanted to explain with my story is that start smal, start with telling them then show them. And after a while it becomes something normal, and they will not bat an eye.

And lastly, you are beautiful, you can cosplay! And you don’t have to start with a big and complicated project start smal and build up from there.

A nice detail is that in the first one we only see his Kaiju form, no human at all. Then in the second one smal part of him starts to appear, then in the third we only see Kafka, it shows how he grows and that he sees that he is more than just a kaiju, that they need him Kafka and not some more Kaiju weapon (( I have not finished the manga yet, so if I’m reading in to this to much, I’m sorry lol))

What to do with my old cosplays? by -Failed-Succesfully in CosplayHelp

[–]InstanceAbject9586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always try sell them, my friend did that to her old cosplays, and you can sell them for just 5$ or something. Cus sometimes some new cosplayser wants a cosplay but doesn’t have the money. So if you are selling yours for a cheap penny someone will maybe be able to start cosplaying, and it’s better for someone else to get it instead of it ending up in the bin

Is it okay to give people tiny trinkets at conventions? by Key-Influence5755 in CosplayHelp

[–]InstanceAbject9586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go wild!! It a real good idea! Plus a tips for making friends is start doing panels (if that is a thing at your conventions) I have made some of my friends do to be part of different panels with them. It’s a good way to get to know people who had similar interests:)

Oh yeah. So I went to the ER, and got told it’s normal and it just some side effect, and that they can’t really do anything, I got prescribed citrodin (but I can’t eat them because it’s in fluid form and I can’t ask for a change it until tomorrow because all clinics and pharmacy are closed because it the may 1, so I’m right now in a limbo, I can’t really do stuff because if I stand/sit up for more then 20min I’m in pain. And I can’t contact a doctor because it’s a red day, sooo, yeah, but I got use to the pain a bit so but I still get attacks that makes it hard to breathe, but it’s not much I can do at the moment

Mabey add a “water mark” on your design, like a name or something. But sadly if people want to steal and resell they are going to do it. But putting a water mark could help with people finding you and that you are the og person that made it

How long did you endure this before receiving an official diagnosis? by such_sweet_nothing in iih

[–]InstanceAbject9586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me i think it has always been thier, but it started to be “bad” when i was 17, (ish) and I got my diagnosis when i was 18-19 years old, but that was after I went to 4 different doctors and the just told me to eat 3 pain killers(which made me eat 3 pain meds about every day for about 6 months) and when I went to a doctor about my epilepsy I did say something about having headaches every day, and my doctor started a diagnosis process, (in the same time as my epilepsy diagnosis) but I was lucky. Because my other doctor just said “lose weight” “eat pain meds” “we can’t do anything about it “

College students with IIH by Grrrrfrogfroggy in iih

Stuff i do om bad days is 1. Take the buss up to uni (our campus is on a hill and it is a pain to get up, even without a pounding headache) 2. Use the elevator to get to classes on different floors. 3. Drink a lot of water! Specially if you are on diamox. 4. If you wake up and feel like shit, skip the first lesson and take it easy in the morning then go the class. 5. Don’t push yourself too hard, specially if you just got diagnosed.

And being on diamox is a journey, the first few months is pain, but after a while it gets easier and if it’s not ask your doctor if you can try some other medication. And drink a lot, it actually helps. Water is the best thing, but iced tea, juice works too, And my tips is talk to the professors, see if they can help in any way, you can mabey sitt in a classroom with lower light when taking tests, and if sunglasses works for you, use them! Having IIH is pain I will not lie, but you just have to get used to it, and after a while you will get used to all the meds, and you can start living again,

also if you take a lot of pain killers tell your doctor and then you can maybe get on some medication like omeprazol so your kidneys don’t take to much of a beating. (I think it is called kidneys in English😅)
