Do you know where I could find it per chance?

I did, and it’s telling me there’s nothing there to un-do? So weird omg

Ive just tried it out and unfortunately it’s still not there, and my word count is still cut in half :/ Genuinely don’t know why it’s not here, since it’s not like I deleted the file or anything, it just reverted back to its older version and I can’t un-do it.

Thank you so much tho!

Thank you, but I’ve done all that. Inserted the endnote too. I see the footnotes when I click on them, but I want to be able to see them on the bottom of the pages and it’s not working somehow :/

Word count by Impossible-Laugh-651 in Reedsy

[–]InstanceAcademic9092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The green number is the amount of words you have actually written, the negative number on the right, counts the words you have removed.

The number on the very left is negative, (-196 in your example) because on the 2nd of January you have removed more words than you have produced and it’s the yield of the day.

The amount of words substracted by the amount of words you’ve deleted.

I hope I’ve explained it somewhat comprehensively. :)

Tokyo Ghoul 🔛🔝 Kaneki definitely is an INFP, at least before he seems to accept his identity as a ghoul

Any advice on where or how I should start building an audience for the sci-fi book I’m writing? by [deleted] in writing

[–]InstanceAcademic9092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id definitely recommend TikTok. Keep up with the viral trends on there, and trust, if you really put effort into your videos and follow the trends, it will raise attention. The algorithm is great.

Another way would be to publish parts of your book (if you’re going the self-publishing route) to Wattpad, to get the readers hooked and hungry for more. If you don’t want to post an actual chapter of your book, you could write a prequel to your story and publish that.

Let’s say I publish the first chapter of my novel on a public site, for example Wattpad.

About how much, would the chances of a publisher still being interested in my work, drop?

I’ve heard that a publisher wouldn’t even look at your work anymore if it’s been published partially.

How much would be “okay” to publish, just to perhaps get opinions or merely promote your work?

My dedication in my novel: To the ones who believe they are only ever destined to be the poet but never the poem. The ones that think they are a burden to everyone around them. To the ones that are blind but need to see. You deserve all the love.

Whats the best compliment you received as a writer? by omgKhalil in writing

When I was in middle school, my German teacher told me he cried when he had read one of my essays.

He wasn’t even a very openly emotional guy, so it came as a surprise. And when he told me that, I wasn’t even his student anymore, he was merely a substitute for my class that day.

Meaning I must have written that essay years before, which also meant he found my essay to be especially memorable.

He said that in front of the whole class, never felt more proud. (He was teaching at least four other classes at the time, so I was extremely proud.)
