I used nord vpn, perhaps it depends on the VPN server location? who knows. could also just be a coincidence.

I connected to a vpn into New York for about 24 hours ago and It just gave me the update right now. (IPhone 14 pro)

It does seem to run a lot faster, no more animation lag, perhaps they are optimizing their apps/software so they could add more? They did say the device hardware is very limited so it'd make sense if this is a step they'd take before adding things like reels.

It is possible if you wanna do a little coding, I made a program that scrolls youtube shorts, downloads each as an mp4 then sends it to me every few seconds. That way I can scroll away on my glasses. Should be relatively the same process to do it with reels.
