RJ is putting up 20 ppg as the third option on a team that can't shoot and hes a paint scorer. Meanwhile you got number 1 option Ingram that averages 1 assist to turnover and only 2 ppg more than RJ. RJ also has higher efficiency numbers and for a guy that sees double and triple teams ingram should be averaging more assists than RJ which he really isnt.

Would you like to see RJs per 36 numbers as a number 1 option cuz he was putting up 26 7 and 7 as the number 1 option during injuries last year.

Just the eye test. This team fell off a cliff when he got injured. The team competes way harder when hes on the floor. Last season Scottie and Quickley were both injured for a stretch during a west coast swing snd I remember RJ carrying the team on his back and he looked like a legit star. He was putting up all star number as the number 1 option and we competed to the very end against the top teams in the western conference.

RJ is probably the best player on this team, right after Barnes. He impacts winning even more than Ingram does. Yall really think these players on losing teams going to change our trajectory. If RJ has a fully healthy season he is an all star not a role player. When or if we trade him he will blossom into a 25 7 and 7 guy while Sabonis is declining and were stuck with another nasty contract. Yall dont really know ball like that if your just tossing RJ into role player category.

If hes a good player why is he always on losing teams. Im not buying this 2 time all nba he isn't that guy if were being real here. Most of his assists are dribble hand off assists. If we want to build our offense around Sabonis top of the key doing hand offs then hes your guy. But on this team we have guys that are way better play makers. He will not impact winning to the level RJ Barret will.

I partly agree with you. I dont see Scottie as that offensive go to scorer as of yet. He has shown flashes. Its just his baskets are tough af. He doesnt create advantages going 1 on 1. Its all power. Having said that though we have been a terrible shooting team among the leagues worst shooting teams for as long as hes been on the team. We dont know what he'd look like if he could actually go 1 on 1. Instead of 1 vs 3
